Good question...it won't surprise me to see Lynch make a couple of trades. Now would be a good time to trade Thomas...not sure what they could get for him, but it's worth exploring. Look, this draft got impacted by the Ford and Sanders signings...everybody (virtually) thought those acquisitions were worth it. Now that the draft is here, some are moaning about no action on day 2. Can't have it both ways...it costs to get elite players. Here's the thing, though...I trust in Lynch and Coach. They got us to the SB in just 3 years...pretty sure they know what the heck they're doing. They're hamstrung from last year's trades...again, though, if there's something they can do to get some more pics, I'm sure they will. I'm sure not giving up on this draft...

Goodwin definitely a 5th. Breida maybe 4th, but I don't want him to leave.

If we could trade Breida, Coleman, Thomas, Goodwin, Pettis, the rest of our picks this year and some picks next year to get 2-3 picks today that would be amazing.
Hennessey/Cushenberry, Taylor, and a CB or even Delpit would be sweet.
If not, I'm still ecstatic with this draft!

If anything is going to happen for SF today, it won't be until after all the 2nd round RBs and WRs are gone and teams who think they missed their guy shift to trading. Don't expect much in return for the guys. To be honest, I think Breida will be on the roster this season and the team will have to cut Coleman.

I'm not regretting either trade. With no Ford...we saw what our Dline looked like without him. Samuel and Boune went to another level when we drafted Sanders. It's costly, but the long term effect on the team is a net positive. Had we kept the picks, we probably end up as a 9-7 or 10-6 team. Having an actual Super Bowl run and keeping the core of the team together, including coaches will serve us well going forward. I only wish we could've somehow gotten another day 2 pick. While I understand why Kyle and Lynch like the players they got, I do wonder if it's a case of liking too much (with the cost). We won't know until we see this team next season.
The biggest issue of all is the minimum yield we have gotten out of the receivers as a group in this time. There are a lot of picks through direct drafting, trades for players, and trade ups for us to have one starter (I like Bourne, but I don't see long term starter).
I think they will try to move some players, but otherwise, gear up for day 3. I hope we nail this entire class and have some of our 3rd and 2nd year players emerge, that way we can focus on strengthening the DBs and OL next year (I feel like I've said the OL thing before lol).

Why does it feel like every pick now is a stud? I need to stop watching this

If it makes you feel better, even if we kept our pick we still would have another 15 picks to go

Good point. But on the other hand I bet they would have moved up by now.

Nothing round 2, but if a specific player they like creeps into round 3, they might make some calls.

Trade Solly, el gato and a 5th round pick for Williams.
