Not sold on 49ers picking a WR with 13th Pick

Reciver is not our main comcern. We have them already. Its gonna be hurd and samuel gonna be our starting receiver. Hurd is not a slow person too. He runs 4.5 himself. But there was one story i ran a 4.36. Then we have bourne, taylor coming back healthy, pettis and james.
Our main need is defense. I know we taylor and jones but those players other team are not gonna double team them. So other team will douple trible team bosa. His homma get tired and our defense gonna be in there long
We need to draft brown he is the best dt to come out of college for while. Kinlaw is good but not ast good as brown plus he had character issue.

Yeah let's depend on a guy coming off a broken back as a starter. You're beyond wrong with your belief on our wr situation, wr is a huge need
I'd be ok with them picking Henderson or Kinlaw at 13. But Jeudy just seems like a legit No. 1 and we haven't had that in awhile.

If Jeudy, Henderson and Kinlaw are gone, I doubt we keep the pick, but if we did then it'd be whose left between Ruggs/Lamb or a tackle.

One could think that if maybe you only saw tape of him his freshman year, or only watched tape of him scoring on bombs....

But you cant think that if you saw his next to season.

This will dispel any notion he is a Finesse guy, he plays like a running back in the open field...goes past them when he can, goes though them when he cant.

As far as WRs go this team has drafted 5-8 180 pound dudes.... Ruggs would be one of the larger dudes they drafted. His Combine measurements put him just a hair under 6 foot 190 and he JUST turned 21 a few weeks before the Combine.

As far as the blocking.... I would call that one of his strengths, watch the JJ tapes... Ruggs in the front leading the down field blocking consistently.

The more I think about it, the more I am convinced that KS and JL will go defence or OT with the 13th pick. They will pick a WR for sure in the draft, but not with the 13th pick. Even if they waited till pick 31 to do that, and assuming the consensus top 3 WR of Jeudy, Lamb, and Ruggs were already off the board, picking one of the remaining WRs of Jefferson, Mims, Higgins, Aiyuk, or Shenault, Claypool, or Hamler is perfectly acceptable to me. I am sure one of them will be around at pick 31. Maybe even into Round 2 if they traded back to go into a high round 2 pick.

Hurd also ran a 4.66 at the pro day (4.76-4.78 at the combine). He's incredibly slow for a WR, but he is decently quick/explosive for his size. I've been convinced since we drafted him that we reached because Shanahan fell in love with his potential RAC ability given his background as a RB. The back injury further derailed his development as a WR.

I don't think we can count on him ever becoming a starter although it's a nice hope. Deebo has been great, but the position is still a need.

I think Hurd is better suited to be a TE/FB with occasional WR assignments.

Well, much as I like us drafting quality OL I don't think they will take an OT with #13. Interior OL way more a priority. I guess they could take pass rush with #13 but it probably depends on who is available. Much the same with wr so my guess is even John Lynch doesn't know who we will take or what position. BPA within a select group of needs.

Wouldn't be mad at all with Kinlaw or Brown. Would still prefer Ruggs or Jeudy. If somehow all 4 are off the board see if Miami would give up #18 and #26 or #39 to move up to get OL to help out whatever QB they might have picked.

Honestly that's not bad but I'd rather trade the second 1s round pick to acquire a 2and and 3rd
If it's Jeudy or Lamb, I'm on board. I'm on the fence about Ruggs at 13. Otherwise, I'd trade down. I don't believe Brown will be there and I don't think Kinlaw is quite worth it. CJ Henderson and possibly an OT that can temp play inside are the only other options IMHO
There will be enough good players at 13 that offers will come. Let's finally draft a #1 receiver, it's time.

You don't think Kinlaw is worth 13 overall but CJ Henderson is?
I think Hurd is much faster than advertised. He was not all healthy during combine an pro day. He's a 4.4, 4.5 guy. I'm concerned about drafting Lamb. There are a lot of reports that Lamb is a huge partier and loves to be out. Those rumors have been there for his entire college career.

I would love Jeudy. But wouldn't mind drafting a CB

I think CJ Henderson could end up being the top CB in this class and would help in man coverage from day 1. I think he's probably a mid 1st in most drafts and is top 2 in this pretty decent class of CB's.
I think his value to our team would also be greater.

Kinlaw reminds me a bit of Armstead coming out. He's pretty raw and it may take him some time to become truly valuable. He's top 2 in this class, but it's a pretty soft DT class IMO. Kinlaw would likely have a tough time getting snaps in our rotation this season.

Overall, I think Jeudy or Lamb are true #1 WR's that would be a major impact.

I think Ruggs is next on that list but I'm not sure how much of a #1 he really would be. Kyle could use him in many ways, but is he a go to WR with the game on the line? I don't know. I'm on the fence about that.

OT would make sense but is just not a sexy pick and we can possibly get a RT of the future a little later.

Okudah or Simmons dropping definitely would get consideration. As would Brown.
