Hands down Rashan Gary, he's a worse version of Solomon Thomas

I'm pretty worried about how much attention the 49ers have shown to Gary and Sweat.
Yeah Gary or Sweat top 10 would make me absolutely lose it.... IMO at 2 it's Bosa QW. If we trade back in top 10 it's Allen/Burns. Nothing else.

About the quitting on his team thing..
Why Should we expect kids to make money for College Football, get nothing in return except the assumption of all of the risk, and no share in any of the reward?
Why should we expect them to risk their draft stock? They are gambling with Millions. They are gambling with their future, their entire family's future.
When someone has nothing to gain (see, Bosa), why should we expect him to care about some Big 10 championship?
The coaches can take off whenever they want but the players are expected to see it through. That linebacker (Smith?) from ND did it, got injured and lost a packet the other year. Change the system to make it fairer then demand loyalty, but as it stands let the kids decide.

Gary is a better Soloman Thomas. But that is a good comparison.

You're saying Florida state with 16 last year? Couple teams hung a 50 burger and a 40 Burger on the Seminoles. They were not 16 in the nation sorry maybe 16 in southeast FloridaOriginally posted by eastcoast49ersfan:Last post from me on this thread because I don't want to derail it. Elite footwork is a cop out. People expected him to test as an elite athlete and he didn't. He didn't look like an elite athlete in the positional drills either. He gets credit for putting up great stats in the SEC but the SEC-East is not the same level as the SEC-West and Kentucky played some cupcakes in the non-conference schedule the past two years.
I didn't call him a bust - I actually said the opposite - that he has a high floor and deserves to be a top 15 pick because he's a safe pick and is versatile.
I also didn't say Gary is a better prospect than him - Gary arguably has a higher ceiling because he's bigger, stronger, and much more disruptive against the run, but Gary wasn't as good in college and doesn't bend as well. It's not hard to imagine Gary bulldozing offensive linemen at the next level because he has elite burst and long arms, but he's a project.
Sweat has the heart issue which makes him a wildcard. Without that, I'd have no issues calling him a better prospect than Allen because he has way better physical tools. Allen is more versatile and has slightly better stats the past two years (32 TFL compared to 30 TFL), but he also played against easier competition. Burns had 29 TFL in one fewer game than either of them.
SOS the past two years according to sagarin rankings:
Kentucky: 61, 34
Miss St: 46, 11
Ohio St: 13, 38 (although Bosa played the soft part of the schedule in 2019)
Michigan: 31, 20
Florida St: 21, 16

Nick Busta scares me at 2 but I will support any and all players that join our family. Hell I can even say Sherman without feeling to sick. Haha

In the first round pretty much don't want anyone but Bosa. QW and Allen are OK if Bosa is gone.
No DK, No Gary.

DK Metcalf
I get he is big and fast, and i get that he was on a roll last year. Heck he had a perfect storm come together on that team to highlight his skill set. A run game that had to be respected, adequate QBing, good system, great stable of WRs around him to help dilute the coverage. He is another one of those generational players that had unlimited access to NFL players for coaching and guidance. I cant help but think he could have done more. In a marque game like against LSU, he looked highly mortal.
So yeahhh.... when he had opportunity he mostly produced in an offense that most of the passing parts produced in, but even when he produced, he didn't look like the best WR on the team.
So many things shout at you, this guy is legit.....but still.... i have visions of him getting shut down by 5 foot 7 inch dudes....

I don't want Bosa. He may have a million dollar talent but he has a ten cent body. What a p***y.
Allen isn't leaving the top 3; Burns may be there at 10.

There's nothing wrong with using SPARQ as a tool. But the tape is what ultimately matters most.

FSU dropped out of the top 25 week 1. They finished #89 in the top 150. Hey.
