Kyler Murray, QB OU

If Murray wasn't assured being the #1 pick, does he even declare for the NFL or stay in baseball?
Looks like a future Oakland Raiders more and more everyday. Jon Gruden gets his QB and the world can then go back to normal.

They certainly have the draft capital to trade for Rosen, and the Draft Guru's here say this is one of the weakest QB class in years. Rosen does fit Gruden's offense better than Kingsbury's. But the worst case scenario for everybody is if Rosen ends up with Bellicheat. I think Bellicheat can make Rosen a Tom Brady 2.0. I doubt NE can swing a Rosen deal, but who knows, I'd never underestimate that cheater.
If he doesn't go #1 regardless of who picks him, then this is one of the biggest draft smokescreens I have ever witnessed.

Aarón Rodgers #1 was a huge smoke screen
Keim/KK are playing a game of chicken, do they blink and take the 2nd rounder for JR? Or keep holding out to see if a team ponies up a 1st rounder.

What if nobody meets their asking price and they draft Murray? JR fire sale for a 5th rounder.

Until someone's QB tears an ACL and you get a 1st Sam Bradford style...end of the day he's proabaly dealt on or right near draft day.

If I remember correctly SF wasn't leaning towards Rogers or Alex? His s**tty attitude and lack of being in an pro-style offense pushed him down, right?

This is different imo. This smokescreen would be because AZ has always wanted to move down and basically put their "FQB" in a f**ked up position for months. Rosen is already kind of sensitive and reportedly isn't all about being a cardinal. Messed up organization it that's what that the plan was all along.

I think if he's a 1st rounder, his initial contract should be higher than baseball. If he's top 15, I'm guessing his signing bonus will be higher too.

Huh? We had a huge need at QB. It was basically Alex or Aaron. Wasn't a smokescreen at all.

On paper Arizona and Raiders have their franchise QBs so their love for Murray is certainly a smokescreen of epic proportions if they don't draft them...especially Arizona.

As many have said there have been numerous teams who had #1 overall picks with a young "franchise QB" on their roster. They didn't go all out working those guys out and letting the media scream they're going QB.

Murray and Kliff also have the same agent

I think it was you who said Kliff tried to recruit Murray since Murray graduated from High school. So they have that ongoing relationship. Reminds me a bit of Mike Holmgren and his protégé in Steve Young. Just that I don't think Kliff ever coached Murray in college. I betcha having the same agent isn't an accident either, since they probably talked a lot previous to even Kliff or Murray going to college and possibly referred to each other - the agent they now share. If the relationship is that close, Murray is the #1 pick.
I think Arizona wants to trade the #1 pick to someone that wants Bosa so they can drop a few spots and pickup Murray.

The problem is that they are worried the 49ers are going to trade their spot to someone else that wants Murray.

I think they stay put and draft Murray.

Nobody is moving up to #1 to draft Bosa. If they're trying to get us to bite they can eat a dick.
