Marquise "Hollywood" Brown WR Oklahoma

Hahaha, people always concerned with the niners taking injured players in the draft, yet we are talking a second rounder on a guy that no one knows if he fully recovers, a small one at that-

Before the draft, I want to see Lynch sign WR Tyrell Williams...he's big, fast and looks primed to explode with the opportunities he'll get in Coach's offense. With Goodwin, James & Taylor, there's enough smallish WR's on the roster. Pretty sure they like Samuel, whom they got to see up close at the Senior Bowl.
I just don't see it with Brown. He's a small, speedster that was fortunate enough to play with 2 excellent college QBs that excelled at extending plays. He's nowhere near the prospect John Ross was. Maybe Brown could post a 4.35 if he were healthy, but that's not about of a reason to draft him in the 1st.

Even before the surgery, spending our 2nd on him would feel like a HUGE reach. He's a mid-round guy IMO. He shouldn't be touched before the 3rd.

Is he that much worse than Ted Ginn or Tavon Austin? Speed is a premium trait in the NFL, and his play speed is nuts. No one here is talking about him going top ten like those other two guys, but it's entirely realistic for him to go early in the second. If we could get him in the third, after getting an edge in the first and an OL in the second, I'd be happy as hell. I just don't see it.

I don't see him anywhere near Ginn or Austin. Granted Ginn was a one-trick pony as a WR, but he was an electric returner also. Austin was just a pure playmaker. He was a better version of Percy Harvin.

I thought Ross was picked about 15 spots too early and considering Brown in the top-15 was crazy. If he got into the 2nd it wouldn't have surprised me, but I don't there's much that separates him from a handful of other guys later in the draft. I can't wrap my head around a team spending a 1st on him.
So now is my late second round to early third prediction realistic?

With the medical issue absolutely, Lisfranc is what Jimmy Ward had, and normally needs a screw put in which doesn't always hold and may need multiple surgeries.

Without the injury I'm certain this kid would have gone in the 1st round. Ever since teams made the mistake of letting Desean Jackson fall to the 2nd, every single guy with ridiculous speed (that wasn't a domestic abuser) has gone in the 1st.

I'm worried about this surgery, anything that effects his speed or ability to get in and out of breaks would turn him from a game changer to useless. Medical grade is huge and I'm not sure teams will know how successful his surgery has been before the draft.

His play speed is insane...like Tyreek Hill fast. I think they're comparable players that can score anytime they touch the ball. I also think Brown is a damn good route-runner who can still get better.

If he's some how in the 3rd and our medical staff is okay with him I'd be ALL OVER him.

Kyle's getting tight in the pants watching routes like this

Yeah I'm surprised he didn't get the surgery done sooner? It's like what a 4-6 month recovery and he will be in a boot for like 8 weeks

I want an apology from you as verbally assaulted me in my safe space by saying he wouldn't go early third round, when clearly he is very injured as I said before. lol

I'm pressing charges!
FWIW I don't think anyone knew/heard he was getting lisfranc surgery until like a day ago...I certainly didn't

Edit: apparently he had surgery a month ago but it didn't leak until a couple days ago
