Chase Winovich - DE Michigan

how much was he double teamed? how many of his sacks were flush sacks with pressure caused by a teammate? how many times did they let a RB block him because offenses were more worried about other players? same questions I have of Ferrel at Clemson

I put this up in the first page, I am reposting for some perspective that alot of media missed out on and I believe is vital information in evaluating him.

Winovich stats compared to Bosa last year, remember same conference..

I've been pretty clear that I like chase, but common, that's hot take 101...box score scouting.

This, that and the other thing. I wish people would stop citing college stats as some sort of trump card. You can have great college stats, be a great college player and still be a lousy NFL prospect, not that I think is the case with Winovich but any argument trying to put him on the same level as Bosa simply due to stats is silly. He's clearly not on the same tier, not that there is anything wrong with that. I would happily take him on the team. His combination of high motor+football IQ could make him a solid to good NFL player just based on those qualities.

I mean who is this guy? We throwing random tweets of whomever up in here? If we're looking at stats than Sutton Smith should be above both lol
Friends don't let friends box score scout.

Of course we're throwing random tweets here in WZ... but I do like Sutton Smith, hope we can get him in the fourth.

Probably be able to sign him as UDFA.

I'm more concerned with the fact that in 2017... Chase Winovich has better numbers than Bosa.

Is he lying? Chase doubles Bosa in tackles.. Is he lying or are those numbers a lie. To be honest that's all I am concerned with as should everyone else?

Was he a better player though?

Let's compare if he was better in 2017.. I would like to see all the numbers including snap count.

Okay let's compare all the D linemen who had better statistics than Rashan Gary in the past 2 years. Stats don't tell the whole story blocking assignments or gap responsibilities can lead to misleading statistics.

Yep. I wouldn't mind bringing him in for his special teams ability.

As well as the body of their work... Let's compare them, we aren't talking about all the dline. We are just talking about Winovich and Bosa.

Let's compare? I understand Bosa is more polished but let's compare.

Let's compare?

I'm talking about context your favorite subject in Gary's forum but here you wanna ignore context and just point out better numbers. Winovich is a good player but he isn't in the same league as Bosa.

I am not saying he is as polished. All I'm asking for is to compare them. I just want to see how far is Winovich from the best player projected a #1 pick.

How many downs does Bosa plays? What's his snap count compared to Winovich. To be honest Bosa isn't even the best player on that defense.
