1st time reading about off field stuff:

Montez Sweat, DE/OLB, Mississippi State
"Talented player, he's really long and he looks like a small forward. He has natural pass rush ability. He has a long stride, it doesn't always look like it. He is powerful and he can rush the passer. He is playing really strong at the point of attack and playing the run a lot better than he did in the past. He is not just a pass rusher. The tricky part is the character stuff, he has some off the field stuff he has to clean up and show teams that he has rehabilitated himself. [Sweat started his college career at Michigan State in 2014 and was suspended for a violation of team rules after the second game of the 2015 season that caused him to miss the rest of the season. He left Michigan State the following spring, and played a season at junior college before joining Mississippi State in 2017]. He is probably a late first-rounder, early second-rounder. If anyone is projecting him higher they aren't factoring in the character concerns."
Didn't watch the game looks like he had 1.5 sacks and 6 tackles anyone watch?

Link? Just curious who wrote it

I haven't heard of any off field stuff since he left Michigan St.

This was back in August...

Jim Nagy, who is the executive director of the Senior Bowl, went to Starkville, Mississippi, and came away very impressed with Sweat. He said, "he appears to have grown up" since his time at Michigan State. Nagy said, "The coaches say he is doing all the right things on and off the field, but seeing him work with the younger defensive linemen at practice shows me he is maturing."

Dude, jeffery simmons is a baller I can't beleive he only has 1 sack on the yr.

He should be a 1st rd pick but because of a ugly off field incident a couple yrs ago he might drop.

Yeah man Abram is a stud
I'd take Sweat in the 2nd round if we go with Williams at 2. But when I was looking at his film I'm definitely seeing a guy who hasn't been playing DE his whole career. High potential but I don't see a guy who can be an every down DE.

Honestly wouldn't hate Allen in the first and Sweat in the second. DeFo would feast with a nickel outside pass rush including those two dudes.
People want another outside rusher who can't bend? This is worse that a WR who is not a good route runner for KS.
I'm intrigued by him but he has a red flag about leaving or getting kicked out of Michigan State but it doesn't talk about why ... Anyone know more about him ???
