If we were to draft him you'd play him just as you play Bosa. Big leo, strongside nickel, sparingly at 3 tech. He's a huge step down from Nick but I don't think he's as bad as Solly is at edge. Better length, better tools, actual experience there.

Ford, Buckner, Thomas, Gary would be the nickel line.

Not my #1, #2 option but if we traded down, got a boat load of picks and Gary was a pick of ours I wouldn't hate the choice.

With our team you keep Bosa on the edge for 4 downs. Passing downs, you keep him on the edge. Unless we have another top pass rusher to come off the edge, you keep bosa at end. That's whats nice about him. He solidifies a position weve been playing musical chairs with.quote=Giedi]

I'd want a Hershel Walker kind of trade if we have to trade down and take Gary. At least 3 ones, 3 twos, and 3 threes - for three consective years. That is the only kind of trade I'd want - if we are going to give up on #2 and Bosa.
even then there are so many other players I want more than Gary I the first.

1) Solomon Thomas snaps at Edge were 10% going up to his senior year.. He was never a Edge guy... 70% of Solomon Thomas snaps on Edge, were in his senior year.. He failed miserably... Don't you understand that

Rashan Gary snaps on the Edge was 50% up to his Freshman year... Nothing a like despite the recycled attempts...

2) Solomon Thomas is 6'2-6'3 and actually undersized and question marks at strength.

Rashan Gary is 6'5 his weight in high school was at 297lbs moving at 4.7...

He is 287 moving at 4.58 now.... lmao

3) Solomon Thomas was always an inside guy, had to bulk up weight, strength was a question in college.

Rashan Gary is truly an inside or outside guy.. Truly a diverse-hybrid. That causes chaos... Strength was never questioned and has the snaps all his football life... Has the long arms and signature stiff arm.. He has the snaps at Edge.. When asked... He embarrassed tight ends and tackles while injured..... He can embarrass you while injured.. I posted plenty of one on one clips.

Also Solomon Thomas is no where near the prospect, Rashan Gary is.. 🍎 and 🍊

Up to his Freshman year 50% > Up to his senior year 10% on the Edge... 🍎 and 🍊 Solomon Thomas was never an outside guy...

Buckner and Gary please... Gary is a true hybrid who creates chaos.. He demands triple, double and chips.. He demands it. That's how disruptive he is. He has it all and is a true junior.. He is the star of this draft.. He will have a better career than Bosa imho. Teams scheme away from dude. He blows up plays.

If you can create a mismatch you do it. A NASCAR package of Ford, Buckner, Bosa + another end like Blair is just something you do on obvious passing downs to spice it up. Philly got the SB winning sack by putting Graham inside.

All at Edge... Solomon Thomas never had this body of work because he wasn't put on Edge until his senior year..

Why was his role to occupy blockers versus attacking the passer? Probably because he has no bend. He'll be a good 3-4 end maybe since hes so productive at creating for his teamates since he cant get around the edge himself.

Til this day I have yet to see this from Bosa or Williams? I'm waiting.. This would be define as "scheme" to take the best player out. In football other guys should be free. Which teams did consistently and why Winovich and Bush were able to clean up or have opportunities to clean up.

I don't hate Gary, but this draft is simple, 2 elite prospects Bosa and Quinnen, and we pick #2, not rocket science.
