Dude you're projecting injuries which is dumb as s**t...if that's your whole argument then it's a very weak one. I can name a f**k ton of college players that were never injured in college then went on to have numerous injuries in the NFL.

What fudging was done? There is a difference between thinking a player isn't worth the No. 2 in a vacuum and thinking about the reality of the situation (team needs, positional value, draft value in picks 2-6 after the first one is spent, etc.). Most of the criticisms here about Bosa are that is a very good player but not the best player available. But even 95% of them will be thrilled if the 49ers draft him.

How about you go read the comments on the last couple pages...that's what this is in reference to. You missed a clusterf**k of silliness

The nice thing about having another ER to pair with Ford, who's also excellent against the run, is that Saleh can also switch it up and play him inside in race car packages too and run T-E stunts with him. He can essentially play LEO, BE and 3T (nickel).

With Williams, you're limited inside.

Pretty much my assessment on the guy too, high floor low ceiling guy. Like I have always said, this guy ain't no Von Miller. For what is worth, he won't bust out like Solomon Thomas, he will be able to contribute to some degree, but he is no dominant game changer if that is what you are after. I have nothing against the guy, he seems like a pretty chilled dude.

This scout thinks both Allen and Sweat are more athletically explosive?

Like WR, I think there are many kinds of ER's so it's critical to consider the systems they'll go to.

For me, Saleh is all about run defense; a bigger end who's excellent at setting the edge, who's terrific for TFL, cerebral, multiple moves, selfless for stunts, leader, can be an every down ER, can play 3 positions, etc...there isn't a better fit for Saleh's system than Bosa and it isn't even close.

If you're looking for an every-down SAM/ER Allen might be the guy. If you're looking for a nickel "closer" flying off the edge in wide 9, Burns is your guy.

Pretty much agree with all this. I don't see Bosa as a superstar game changer and he has too many injury concerns. We don't need another part time player.

I'm not saying that QW or JA are superstar players, I just think both of them have less concerns and will provide more impact.

Yup. You can do anything with the line. You want to play big but still get to the qb you can put Bosa at leo, Ford at sam. You can play wide 9, use Nick at 5 tech on occasion.

This pick is a no brainer. Q is a great prospect but your options are limited and edge could quickly dive into a mess again if Ford goes does. If we play wide 9 with Solly, Blair we'll get roasted.

Stop with the injury trash you really need to find something thats actually meaningful. Projecting injury is retarded. It's the NFL every player will get hurt. You can't assume so and so will be hurt more because a past relative got hurt.

Quit with the lazy takes man...be better

See I can understand if he thinks he's not gonna be a superstar edge rusher...Myles Garnett petty much set the bar high when we're talking about being stupid athletic.

Him throwing out Allen as being more athletic is kinda false if we're gonna apply the numbers. You're a combine guy and Allen's numbers weren't better than Bosa's in any meaningful pass rush drill.

He's not Von Miller, none of these guys are and most top edge rushers drafted at the top haven't been,so not sure why you're trying to compare him to that? They win differently.

My floor for him is ryan kerrigan who's got 85 sacks in 8 yrs. my ceiling for him is Demarcus Lawrence who's just got $100 million. Either way we're getting a damn good football player who's gonna have top end talent all around him on that DL.

Totally agree

I still don't see how that's a lazy take. They all share the same DNA and appear to have the same philosophy when they are injured.

One cannot play with a torn ACL or the core injury Nick suffered.

Joey has missed time for a hamstring and a foot injury. But he played through most of a season with a dislocated finger that refused to heal properly and had to have surgery in the off-season to repair.

So what exactly is their injury philosophy?

Interesting. I totally disagree mind you. With our D line I see Bosa as a major game changer.

Wasnt Joey cleared to play early last year? He opted to get 2nd and 3rd opinions and made the decision to sit out until week 11. The chargers expected him and planned for him to play opening day and carried the uncertainty from week to week for half the season. Left hanging. None of the drs found anything that amounted to more than a bone bruise which 99% of nfl players would play through.
