You don't think teams will evaluate him before using a draft pick on him?

Thank your Dr. pd24, for the astute medical opinion. We will be seeking a 2nd opinion.

Read up on him and his knee. 2 operations in 2 years. Missing part of is meniscus. He is a 1st round talent but will be a 2nd or 3rd round pick because of his knee. He almost lost his leg and has nerve damage in his knee

Like we did with Lattimore? His knee has nerve damage and a missing meniscus.

Without getting in medical jargon - it depends where the meniscus is damaged - if it's peripheral then it can be cleaned out and not significant afterwards. If it's more central then it can get caught up, cause more pain and linger around. All nerve damage isn't equal either.

Speaking from personal experience (torn meniscus/acl) and as an MD.

That's good info. Thanks. He did show explosion at the combine. Hope he has a long career. I would still be nervous if we drafted him. I'm a Laker fan and lived through Andrew Bynums knees. Lol

I remember him saying he almost lost his leg, no wonder SF is really looking into him.

That was more baalke doing his acl pick and we were such a stacked team at the time we could risk it. Plus I bet it was more of he's a good kid let's just draft him
Sending our DL coach to privately work him out.

Looks like they're really interested in this guy.

Have a feeling might trade up in 2nd round

So does that mean they go different defensive position in round 1? Roquan Smith and Sweat (if team signs off on him)!

I couldn't help but think of the same lol. Roquan and Sweat , sounds pretty wet
I'm really curious about this guy because of the way he was used by Florida State. In a traditional pass rushing position he might be better than all the rest but I have a feeling he'll be way over drafted.
I'm not a fan at all, I know he's had his injury problems but I saw a lack of burst, moves and a plan when attacking the QB.

It's like he was trying to be Landry without the athleticism.

I think he's a guy who lived off being the quickest and biggest guy around. Got injured, lost that edge and hasn't recovered. Can't see him doing well against NFL lineman.

Sparq would disagree with you

Sparq is great and all but that athletic ability doesn't always translate to the field back in 2015 Davis Tull was the top sparq score among all edge (higher than Beasley) dude was playing for the Saskatchewan Roughriders last yr.

I agree with BigMac sweat's get off isn't great at all. I'm glad SF is doing their homework on the kid, he had a horrific knee injury...craxy upside no doubt, gonna need the doctors to check that s**t out and he's gonna need coaching imo.
I don't think Sweats plays to his athleticism either. That's why those numbers caught me off guard.

Who knows? FSU scheme didn't do him any favors, and maybe that knee brace hindered his athleticism. It sounds like he doesn't plan on using it moving forward.
