They have had huge success drafting LB's in various rounds, they have a specific skill set in mind and get guys wherever they draft.

He tripped out a lil and openly said he was done and gonna shut his mouth. Think he learned a good life lesson there and truly wasn't a distraction going forward(Over 10 games I'd say?)... I'd take the chance especially if we still get a 2nd?

Martavis and say a Taylor Gabriel would be sick and then we can focus fully on other spots. Jimmy would destroy s**t with the WR core we'd have IMO.

Joshua Jackson would be #2 but I fully expect us to address the CB position very heavy in FA.

IF he is there and I think there is only a 5% chance he is there, he would be the obvious pick. I would bet anything that Jon Gruden has his heart set on him as well

Dont matter we wouldn't pick him up anyways. First thing is he doesn't fit our zone blocking scheme. He isnt ideal as a pulling guard he is more of a size and power guard.

The Shanahans have showed us time and time again that they prefer smaller shiftier Gaurds that excel at pulling and getting to the edge quickly. That just isnt Nelsons strong suit.

Nelson is a prototypical guard but we dont run a prototypical offense. We can find good value at guard with smaller quicker guards in later rounds because most teams aren't looking for the same thing we are. Same goes for RB, Kyle and his dad always used late round picks and udfa Rbs with smashing success. The only high draft pick I remember was Clinton Portis and they traded him away after a 1,500 yd season.

This pick needs to be a skill position and my money is on cornerback Josh Jackson if we stay put. If we can trade back I would go after Landry but not at 9-10.

Yeah but if we sign a CB in FA, which we should to pair experience with our younger Witherspoon, then it wouldn't make sense to take a CB that early. I like Landry but also not that early. We are likely to trade back.

Im not sure we go that route. None of the top cbs in FA are true press cover corners besides Trumaine Johnson and he is going to demand more than we should spend. So Malcom Butler maybe the best fit for that role but he isnt very reliable imo.

Jackson fits the bill to a tee and was the most impressive cornerback that I watched last year. He just has a knack for making splash plays.

He would also have a 5th year option available to us because of his first round status. Cornerback is one of the most sought after and expensive positions in the sport.

We have a major need at the position and you have a guy in Jackson that fits your defense to a tee starring you right in the face at #9. I think it makes too much sense not to pull the trigger.

Its arguably our top need so just pull the trigger and cross that need off the board for the next 4 years.

This poll needs a revised list of players. A whole lot of meh or players not in reach.

I agree with all of this very well put. Jackson fits the scheme and he plays the ball very well plus he has the requisite size and athleticism.
