What are you basing that off of though? It's not like he racks up sacks. Saw him go up against future NFL guard Wynn in the Georgia game and he couldn't get around big slow lineman(compared to nfl starting left tackles) at all.

Very small sample size with that but it's definitely something to consider and not a lock that he'll be able to get to the qb at the next level from the left side.

He was bullied by Wynn in the run game but not too much of a knock there since that's wynns strength

Forgive me if I am misunderstanding your post, but are you suggesting that Wynn is "big and slow" just because he's projected to move inside at the next level? The ONLY reason he's projected to go inside is because of height and arm length. I am of the opinion that he'd hold his own as a LT in the NFL as well.

Just going off the eye test and in comparison to how quick NFL left tackles look. Didn't mean to say he was slow, because for a guard he'll definitely be quick.

Thanks for the info though. I didn't know that his size was the only concern for him playing tackle .

Honestly I never saw him as a 1st rd pick...once the rest of the edge rushers get a chance at the combine he's lack of size will show.

That may be so, but I bet if he gets drafted outside the first round, many GM's will look back at this draft and regret passing on him.

People love guys who look the part and can dominate drills without the pads on, but how many times has that line of thinking failed? It's the same reason a guy like Carl Lawson got passed over in the 2017 draft.

Top flight pass rushers can come in all shapes and sizes.

Ive been busy this past week and a half....

So it appears that some of my draft crushes in OO and Anthony Miller may be sliding to where we can get great value

Ha. I'm intrigued as well.

Most of the other edge rushers in this class are average at best, as a pure pass rusher I'd take OO over all not named Holland. What is two inches anyway?

I'm glad we've got a GM who wants football players, not prototypes.

I've argued hard against him at any point in Rd1, if the other teams are foolish enough to let him get to the 3rd I'd run to the podium as fast as I would for Barkley at #9.

Carl Lawson dropped because he was always injured, he has an ACL and hip-injury. He has the size at 6-2 260 and is strong as a bull...the length wasn't there but he was also quick. It's not the same comparison imo.

I think there's a ton of edge guys in his draft.

Chubb
Davenport
Double O
Holland
Landry
Key
Duke
Hercules
Hubbard
Thomas
Sweat
Armstrong
Turay
Haynes

You may want to double check your information because many people were projected him to fall because of his poor athleticism. There were also a ton of guys with big medical red flags who were drafted ahead of him, so clearly teams dropped him on their boards because he didn't test well.

Nah dude go look at his combine numbers, torn ACL and a ongoing hip injury was one of the main reasons he dropped ( and shorter arms)

I wish Ogo had Lawson's bulk. Unfortunately, most shorter guys don't have the frame to carry 260 lbs.

All I'm saying with Lawson is that you can't blame it all on his injury history because a lot of guys with big medical red flags went ahead of him in the 2017 draft. Teams must've knocked him down their boards because he didn't have all the attributes most teams want in an edge rusher. Okoronkwo could be in that same boat and a lot of dumb teams will probably let him fall and allow someone to steal him just like Lawson was stolen last year.
