Now that I think the 49ers will pass on Ridley, Gallup is quickly becoming one of my favorite receivers in this draft. Gallup is another that looks like a Shanahan receiver, good route running, makes yards after the catch, quick and catches everything. Hopefully he'll be around in the 3rd where Shanahan will have a two chances to get him.

Several mocks have him going in the late 1st. I expect him to be gone by the mid 2nd at the latest.

Late 1st? I don't know man I'm not buying that kind of hype, I think they're are a bunch of better players than Gallup that SHOULD go in the 1st. I'll say this, if he has a blazing 40 time (4.42) I can see him going in the 2nd like you said, but 1st....that'll be like the 60th player to be drafted in the 1st. lol

I watched some films of him and He looks more 4.5 football speed.
Not scared to go over the middle wow what a catch

This couldn't be more true. After spending some time this week catching up on the WRs in the draft, this was all I could think of when watching Gallup. Too bad he'll probably end up in our early second round no-mans land. It would be like having Garcon for 10 years!
Count me in the minority, but I'm not overly impressed by Gallup and shocked he's being talked up as a potential high 2nd round pick.

He lacks suddenness and from actual game tape (not highlights) he tends to dog many routes. To me he seems more so the product of being the Go-To guy in a potent passing offense and don't see him as anything more than a 4th round pick but just my opinion.

That was my initial impression too, but he's got good size, production, and a well-rounded game that teams will like. He does everything well and he's not going to get bullied on the field.

He was also such a reliable player in college and really has no glaring weaknesses in his game. You can feel comfortable throwing him on the field early. He's a comfortable pick that looks the part of a #2 WR. He reminds me of Zay Jones in that regard (minus the recent naked event).

Great comparison
So being out here in Denver where the Broncos coaching staff had him at the senior bowl... all sportstalk radio can say about the guy is that he is mentally weak. But I dont recall an incident during senior bowl week that gave that impression. Anyone have any clue what they are talking about?
WR3 for me. Very high on him.
CBS Sports just updated their Draftboard showing Gallup as a late first rounder (32) while Ridley has dropped like a rock to mid second rounder (46). Ridley has shown not to have great hands at the Combines and his Pro day. This has certainly diminished his value in the eyes of many...Lets see if NFL teams agree

All good, give me Ridley in the 2nd then. I'd take him in the 2nd over Gallup in the 1st all day, people putting too much stock in Pro Days and the Combine.

Yeah, I could see Ridley in the 20s, but I highly doubt Gallop leaps him. Moore or Sutton? Maybe.

I think Washington and Kirk could surprise people and go early. They're both getting forgotten because of their size.
