Would have been a great fit.
Meh.. They said the same thing about Carlos Hyde and Jeremy Hill years ago

Walter Football's Charlie Campbell writes that Georgia RB Sony Michel is building momentum after a strong finish to his 2017 season.
"Campbell says he spoke with a General Manager in need of a running back who doesn't believe that Michel will be available with their second-round pick. "Michel showed his big-play ability with speed to break off some long runs that led to some huge performances to help the Bulldogs make it to the National Championship," Campbell writes. It looks like Michel has a real chance of going in the first round, and Campbell believes he's likely to be gone within the first 45 picks."
sounds about right.

Hill had character issues and a horrible combine. Hyde ran like a 4.67 40 and was never looked at as a 1st rd pick from what I remember. He still got drafted in the 2nd.

All I remember was Hyde was considered the top RB of the class but I don't recall if he was considered a 1st rounder.

Yeah I don't remember him ever being a 1st rd prospect, he turned out being the 3rd rb taken.

Sony is just so versatile, good in the passing game.

Would happily trade our late 2nd and first 3rd round pick to get him. No brainer in early 2nd.

I guess that just means Jones falls. A good back will be there either way.

I love Michel, but we need to upgrade the D in a serious way. Do any of you have any doubt that if Jimmy G was the Jags/Vikes/Eagles QB that he would win the Super Bowl this year?
Give him an elite D and we will start collecting Lombardi trophies. Upgrade the interior OL in FA and G/C depth in the draft. If we can get a dominant D now then we can pull a Julio Jones type trade up in a year where there is a Jones type WR available, similar to trading up for Rice.
That being said, if Michel is somehow on the board at our 2nd round pick and he is BPA and what Shanny wants, by all means draft him, even if we have to trade up 10 slots to do it.

Trade with Buffalo for their 2 - 1sts.
Take Michel with one of them

Couldn't agree more, I hope we hit FA hard on offensive linemen.
