I think the 49ers are going to draft Josh Allen..
What if I told you.. I think they go Allen even if Bosa is there.. this thought was triggered when they made Dee Ford a DE

I really like Allen's versatility and if we had traded for Griffen I would have said I think this could open the door for Allen at 2 if Bosa is gone or trade down. Now that we have Ford I think it's a wrap for Allen.
Arik and Solly are both capable of playing BE in base. Kyle said today that Solly would play outside against the run, this would be as a BE since Ford will play LEO. We also just brought back Arik who played pretty well as BE. Allen would play SAM in base. In sub packages Allen would be a DE, he'd make an excellent Wide 9.
I'd still take Bosa though.

They add absolutely zero pass rush ability from that spot though. You guys have seen how embarrassing watching those two rush from that spot haven't you?
Bosa gives you the ability to keep the run defense of Thomas outside as well as 1000x the passrush.
Thomas and Arik need to play strictly need to play inside as far as I'm concerned. I would much rather see Street play the BE spot because at least there is a chance he might get to the QB.
AA belongs in a 3-4. Hes just a terrible fit for a 4-3 BE.
I'm tried of seeing AA lumbering around outside. Can you imagine him trying to contain Kyler Murray? Lmao.

I agree that AA shouldn't rush from the outside, but how often do teams pass against our base D? AA brings a lot to the table as a BE and a DT/NT, that's why he was brought back.

"Yeah. To me, Arik's been playing at a very high level. It may not always show up on the stat sheet in terms of pass game and all that stuff. But, when you watch Arik in the run game, he's a very dominant football player. We had back in Seattle [former NFL DT] Red Bryant, if you guys remember, his role was just to eliminate the solid-side run game. Arik does that.
"Yeah, if he's on a tight end, the corner doesn't even have to show up in crack replace. He gets so much knock-back on tight ends and they struggle to block him.
