#USC RB Ronald Jones is going to have a second workout. The date is TBA. He is currently not 100%. He didn't have a great work out today, dropping a few of Sam Darnold's passes and wants another chance. The biggest thing that scouts have told him to work on are his hands.

After the McKinnon signing, I can't envision a scenario where the 49ers draft RoJo, even if he was sitting there in the second.

Just imagine for a minute Lynch takes RoJo...what a 1-2 punch that could be. Definitely would be exciting. If McNichols makes the team ( I think he will), he goes @ 215 and would be our "biggest" RB. Have a feeling Lynch/Shanny may opt for a thumper for short ydg situations. It's another terrific class of RB's, so lots of directions they could go.

We won't be drafting a RB until the 5th round at the earliest IMO.

Would love to see RoJo here but I would bet that Lynch and Shanahan have other positions above running back this draft. I can see the talking heads comparison between RoJo and a young Chris Johnson though.

RB Ronald Jones (hamstring) ran 4.56/4.57 40s, 4.26 ss, 7.14 3cn, w/ 9-6 BJ (no VJ). Looked good catching passes from Darnold.
WR Deontay Burnett (hamstring tear) ran 4.76/4.76 40s, 4.23 ss, 6.91 3cn, had 10-1 BJ, 30.5 VJ.
Horrible numbers for Burnett

And those numbers... have very little to do with injury. I couldn't understand why he would leave until I looked at Pittman, Vaughns, Grimes, and the incoming freshman.
He's on the "do not want" list in my ideal 49er draft.
