Oh yeah they traded away a pick instead of picking a player because we have duch a good roster, but it's for a 2nd round pick next year. The problem is NO and Brees will make that pick around pick 60, so we gain 7 spots a year later? There is the chance the pick is higher than 60, yes, but you get the point. Sorry I'm Denny downer. Like I've been saying my fan boy days ended when I was getting so mad at my friends back in the Dennis Erickson days then through Alex Smith pre Harbaugh. We get good and it gets blown up over a ego pissing match. Now we are back where we started but this time I'm not getting mad at the truth. So that's where my hate comes from. If you can't understand that then I apologize. I try to be optimistic and then they kick me in the balls.
PS good job drafting R. Foster. Stud.
Gotta love the optimism!

Hell I could probably play better QB than Beathard. Have no clue how trading up for a 7th round QB made any sense. At best he's Ty Detmer

Lots of us are content just sitting back and observing. The Webzone elitism has caused me to quit posting many times over the years. Doesn't mean we leave. Lots of great info in these forums I can't get anywhere else.

I just don't see the value, short of long term at this point. All I can think of is so this is the guy Shanahan endorsed? I'm sure there is no expectation of him being our guy longterm, but I figured we go after a QB that at least we know could be a quality backup and has a chance to be a starter like Peterman or even Kaaya. I do not understand this pick at this point.
On another note, any thoughts on why Lawson is falling so far? Medicals?

Drafting this guy has killed any chances we have at a Super Bowl next season.

Thought Thursday was a great day for the 49ers. Yesterday was very meh. I hate to say this, but this is feeling like a Baalke draft.

No, its not. Many thought Akhello Weatherspoon would sneak into the late first/early second area - We got him in the 3rd. Also, we gave up a 7th and swapped a 4th to get C.J, who Shanny loves.

And we got a 2nd for next year in a draft that's loaded with QB's.
