AD had concerns about effort...i guess you can say retiring early is related to concerns about him being lazy. I don't recall anything off the field though.

Aldon didn't have too many concerns from what I recall. Dude just turned straight up thug/alchie once he started playing well. Of all our losses that offseason him falling off the wagon and getting cut was the worst one imo. Kid had so much potential.
You don't put Solomon as a weak side attacker, not enough length or good enough use of hands

Strong side end, 3-4 end, or undersized DT

Cite an example of the perfect 4-3 RE in this defense?

Aldon had red flags before he was drafted too.

Huh? I can see maybe not enough length but not good enough with his hands?

Also if Vic Beasley can do it at 6'3 with 32 1/2 arms then length wise he's fine as well. Khalil Mack is 6'3 and 33 and 1/4 arms, that 1/4 inch that much of a difference?

This isn't Chris Borland we're talking about with t-rex arms.
Vic Beasley doesn't play on the weakside. He's their SAM LB that pass rushes in sub packages. He's basically atlanta's bruce irvin.
Preface this by acknowledging there's a pretty big disparity in weight, but dear lord, I went to look at Vic Beasley's combine results to compare them to Thomas for fun...Beasley is a freak. elite #'s across the entire board.

Seattle used Irvin as another Leo though, just like Atlanta does with Beasley. Certainly not advocating using Thomas like that but just further pointing out his athletic ability.

Bruce Irvin was never their leo. Seattle's leo since Pete Carroll has been around have been Cliff Avril and Chris Clemons. Irvin was just used as a front side edge rusher.

Yeah...pretty crazy

Pretty sure I read they'd bring Irvin in as another leo when the articles discussing the new scheme came out but whether they did or didn't...once again it just points out how athletic Thomas is at that weight.
Right now he'd be my choice at 2. We'll see if that holds up as we go through the draft process the next six and a half weeks.

His hands are quick with effective punch and are best suited inside. He doesn't use them well for an outside pass rush with manipulating oline balance and swim

If teams go single on Buckner there, he's going to destroy QB's. I can't wait!
