So he's a hardworking gym nut that's working everyday on his craft....and is clean off the field.

Sounds like a high football character guy to me.

can't hate that.

But that presumes that 1. There are teams willing to trade with you. 2. The player you want/need is still there when you pick later

If you want a guy and its your pick, pick him. Who cares what the draft "experts" say about where he is supposed to be drafted. It all changes a year later anyway. Look aback at the articles that detail the history of the number 9 pick and the can't miss prospects chosen there. Not good.

Let's get our pass rush so we can get this defense off the field on 3rd down and get Jimmy back out on the field to do his thing!

That's because the people that say that, don't consider him their pick. But they'd be more comfortable if we got some extra compensation for reaching in their view.

Lol I felt like it was more of a hype video than breaking down film, I couldn't' hear half of what he was saying because of the music in the background.

Vic Beasley ran a 6.91 at 246lbs.

And what's bad about that?

Lynch/Peters/Shanahan have all said the want high football character guys. That's exactly who guys like Thomas and Landry are. Throw in you don't have to worry about them smacking around women or smoking weed...that's a plus not a negative.

Solly played out of position all yr, get a real edge rusher and let Thomas and Buckner go to work inside. Good luck with that.

Bad things... There's a lotta bad things that they wishing, and wishing, and wishing on Landry.

#IsHeGodsPlanToComeHere?
I decided to go back and watch some cut ups of OO & Harold Landry, let me start by saying that I actually think Landry was a better pass rusher this year than last, even though the production says otherwise, seemed to have more of a plan.

That said, and I think I may be the only person with this opinion, I actually think OO is the better player.

He has more moves, and sets up OL better, his hands are better, and though he doesn't quite have Landry's bend, it's pretty damn good.

OO seems to play off balance a little more which I'd like him to work on. Although it's low on my list OO is also IMO the better run defender, they both have their moments making nice plays, but OO is washed out less frequently and sets a better edge.

Landry will go a full round higher due to a couple of inches of height, but I think if they have similar team situations OO will be the better pro.

No. I don't consider him BPA. That's all it means. He could very well be BPA in the 15-20 range, at which point I would pound the table for Landry.

And without Foster, we won't even get to 3rd downs to then have a chance to get off the field, for which you need pass rush and good cbs.

If Landry was BPA over Roquan at 9, I'd want Landry. If Roquan is BPA over Landry at 9, I want Roquan. It's that simple. I just don't think it is close between the two in terms of BPA. I would wager heavily that Roquan is higher than Landry on maybe every single GM's draft board in terms of BPA.

Fact is we could very much use either player. We have no linebackers worth sh** except for an uncertain Foster. We also don't have a pass rush either. We need both positions. And so we go BPA. And between Roquan and Landry, BPA is not Landry, hence why many of us would want to trade back to 15-20 to select Landry. If Landry isn't there, there are a lot of other really good players that can help this team. We could trade back again into the 20s if Landry wasn't there in the high teens. That would open the door to players like Wynn/Hernandez/DJ Moore/Evans as our 1st round pick while accumulating prob three additional picks.

But hey, if Landry is Shanalynch's guy and they have him highest on their board at 9, by all means draft him at 9. I just don't think he will be the highest player on their board at that spot, and that Roquan is more likely to be. At 9 I want the best player independent of positional need or desire. I think Roquan is the clear better player over Landry, and I like Landry a lot. I certainly won't be upset if Landry is the pick at 9. I just think Roquan is clear BPA over him. Just no Edmunds please.

You said what I said but in a long post. He's not bpa to you so you would only get him in a trade down. Makes sense
