Oh, he good.

Yeah we couldn't use that

I was told he was a liability vs the run, but he appears to stack and shed on one play, then pursue behind the LOS in another play. Is it possible these clips are mislabeled highlights for another player?

I've seen a ton of stuff having him going to the Rams as well f**k that

Everyone here says he is clearly a top 10 pick so not need to worry about that...

Great stuff. Might seem random that a patriots coach was leading him through workouts but it's probably just cuz of that Boston connection.
I went back to 2016 and watched Draftbreakdown cuts from Maryland, Virginia Tech and Clemson (with Deshaun Watson). If someone watches highlight films, there is a lot to love. Landry dips on the right side for a strip sack, split a double team for a TFL, shed an initial block, dropped into coverage and showed amazing body control for an INT.

However, the majority of the snaps, as soon as the OT got their hands on him, he was completelu washed out of the play. When the other team doubled him, he was pretty much invisible.

He does have great flash plays, but I dont see a consistently dominant player who can beat a double team.

Id be ok if the Niners traded down for him, but I dont see a top q0 player.

Let me know if you see him differently.

Ima check those games out . He was a force the entire game vs Clemson and rarely ever got washed out of plays.

He doesn't need to beat double teams. If they wanna double team him then go for it. You got Solly and Buck runnin up the middle then. Remember when we had Justin smith drawing double teams so Aldon could get 1 on 1s

Good analysis. Now, watch our defense. How often does a LEO get doubled? How often do they play static at the LOS? His job in run support at BC wouldn't be identical to what he'd do here.

Just saw the Maryland game butter and not sure what you expect out of a pass rusher. He had a sack. A lot of pressure, caused qb to leave pocket often . Got doubled half the game and that allowed his teammates to get 1 on 1 matchups. He had an interception and deflected 2 passes.

He got stonewalled a couple times on double teams.

Pass rushers don't get the qb every single play. Nobody has the energy for that. For example, if pass rusher has 16 sacks in a season that's ridiculous. But the average still only comes out to 1 a game.

Even the great Myles Garrett gets stonewalled by double teams. And doesnt get the qb every play.

Landy is who I want the Niners to take, even if it's at 9. I think he is more the player he was as a Junior than what he showed this year. I think he's got a little Von Miller to him, and would be dynamite at the Leo spot or even as a Sam.
