My guess is Saleh would LOVE a 3-down LEO and SAM who are equally stellar in the running game and in pass rush because, teams don't pass on just 3rd downs so you'd love to have your edge rushers in there every down.
I also think Lynch, a former S, has put pressure on getting more early down pressures too and not just on 3rd downs in obvious passing plays. Lynch knows what a pass rush can do for a DB/LB.
