BPA or trade down. I don't believe any quarterback available in this draft is worthy of the second pick.

He took lumps this year by making himself a real pocket passer. Made mistakes an learned. Heck Peyton Manning threw a lot of ints in college. I was surprised that Watson really disciplined himself in the locker this year. He could have easily stayed the same an been a running QB. Watson all the way
How did he do that? I still see a guy who struggles mightily reading the middle of the field. Most of his INTs were him staring down his receiver and simply being unaware of defenders in the area. He also had the advantage of playing with far more NFL level talent than any other QB in this draft.

I would put him in the David Harris category of ILBs. Pretty good player, likely a long time NFL starter but not a true gamechanger.
How would you rate Myles Garrett compared to Von Miller?

I give the edge to Von but I do think its fairly close with Garrett being bigger and longer.

If Garrett is not there then getting qb is damn near the pick. We don't really need allen cause we already have 2 good young potential players in the Oregon brothers. Peppers might work out if we let go of Reid and Bethea, but theres questions on his play at the next level. Fournette is a potential elite talent but ankle injuries are scary and we already have a talented rb that has injury problems. So Watson or Trubisky is the way to go.

At all in the draft? Where are you planning on finding one seeing as how this team had none?

You think RB is a bigger hole than QB?
absolutely not.. I think QB is our biggest hole and I covet Mitch Trubisky

who cares if they aren't? Turnisky is currently the 4th overall prospect in CBS big boards...so because he's the not "BPA" he shouldn't be the pick?
The whole best player available thing is so over blown...if Fournette is BPA when Dallas is drafting should they pick him?

Agreed. When the consensus BPA is off the board, you don't trade down or go with BPA. You draft for NEED.
The 49ers need a Quarterback more than any other position. Period.
If you try to argue about this years quarterbacks class, do some comparisons to prior years instead of just making statements.

If Garrett isn't there we switch to a 4 DL front all 3 downs. If we can grab an OLB for the 4-3 to team up with Bow&R2(don't sleep on Tartt) ... we can focus on a secondary and offensive weapons.

Exactly. What happens if the Browns win Saturday?
If we get #1 we take Garrett, he's the only player I would take there over a QB.
Signed , sealed and delivered.
Though, I Baalke is still here - I'd be nervous as hell!

Agree
AND that is an indication of just how good this guy can be.

Don't all quarterbacks have question marks?
Absolutely!
The draft is a crap shoot.
Look at all the first round QB busts.
