QB or Garrett

I just hope that when it comes down to it we have a top 2 draft pick and there is a QB who stands out in a big way after the rest of the season/offseason workouts/combine/interviews, etc...

We need to make sure we're picking #2 at worst and hope it's an easy decision whomever the team picking #1 overall selects.

I would think Cleveland takes QB #1 overall since they've used several high picks recently on pass rushers and brought in Jamie Collins.

We improve our team either way whether we grab a stud pass rusher like Garrett or the best QB on the board.

Is all about having a balanced roster on both sides of the ball. And in this case, the Broncos definitely and desperately needs a proper QB. Sure, Denver has Miller, etc, but they finally realized they just couldn't get it done even with such a top D unit alone.

Another example, just look at how the Cowboys are doing now with Dak Prescott. We even have a thread here trying to find out how the NFL has managed to miss on the guy. Again, to my point, you need a proper QB to win. For Dallas, that guy used to be Romo, but not anymore. Even the Browns, they have been very close in a few games, and again no QB. You didn't think RG3 was going to work out, did you? You don't think Sashi Brown is probably crapping in his pants right now having opted to hand over Carson Wentz to the Eagles on a silver platter and yet the Browns is yet to win a game? Again like I said, you need a QB to win in this league.

The debate is not about whether the likes of Watson or Trubisky is Myles Garrett. Is about the absolute need of a QB in any team (even when you already have a top D like Denver) in order to win ball games.

So you bring up 2 teams with qb's drafted in the 2nd and 3rd round to say we have to draft a qb with the 1st pick. Hmm.

By your logic shouldn't we be looking for the next Dak Prescott and using that top pick to build a beastly running attack or acquiring a great receiver? You can use Wenz but that other pick Goff ain't looking that hot right now.

Hello, did I not bring up Carson Wentz? The dude was the No.2 overall pick last year. As for Jared Goff, let's not jump to conclusions just yet. I think both Sam Snead and Jeff Fisher love their jobs too much. They won't play Goff until they know he is 110% ready.

As for Dak Prescott, the point is he shouldn't have been drafted so low. The guy could easily have been a top 5 pick. That was a blatant failure of scouting around the league. Is OK to look for Dak Prescott when your team is not rock bottom and damn right desperate like the 9ers. For example, the Pats have been drafting QBs in the past few years with Garoppolo and Brissett. But, if you are as crap as the 9ers, you just can't afford to gamble on a potential gem QB in the 4th round, that would be a fireable offense.
With the way things are going. Our defense is worse than our offense.
I don't see a QB worth a top 2 pick in this draft.

Or most years, but almost every year ends up producing at least one franchise guy. The trick is: can the 49ers FO be counted on to find the right guy, and will the coaches develop him properly? If we can count on "coaching the hell out of him," Mahomes and Falk become very attractive bargain grabs, allowing us to go Garrett or WR (w/a trade back) early. If it's about finding "The Guy" at the top of the draft, it's all on Trent and his crew. Yikes, that's a little scary. There's a lot to like from Watson and Trubisky, but questions for each, too. Someone's gonna guess wrong.
Garret in the firSt Trubisky in the 2nd would be nice

Yeah I have no faith in baalke or really the coaching staff lol.

I think Watson and Mitch both have good chances to be FA QBs and someone like kizer has the most upside (Hue could do wonders for him maybe there with their 2nd 1st?),

IMO I'd love Garrett at 2 and trade our second for Jimmy G but I doubt our GM can make that happen.

I could live with mahomes or falk in the 2nd but we'd need a solid vet cause I think they need a little time.

Garrett and Lynch at the edges with a legit NT will stop a lot of problems defensively for years to come. Cornerstone worthy.

Trubisky will go top ten, maybe top 5.

I think he goes #1 when all is said and done.

Doesn't look like there's any Andrew Lucks in this draft but possibly a few Dak Prescotts. Garrett first, QB second/third.

Baalke will draft six DB's and a couple of wheelchair rugby players with 'bargain potential'.

yeah. Cleveland fans will love him because he actually wants to play there
what if the Browns like Kessler just enough to go Garret at 1? I mean if they pick no1 and we pick no2? do we go QB then? or Allen?

Impossible. You mean they may like Kessler so much, as in the guy who is yet to win a game for them whereby they will bypass another QB pick again? We are talking about the same Kessler right? LOL. Bro, Sashi Brown is lucky that he hasn't been fired yet after handing Carson Wentz over to the Eagles on a silver platter. He would be signing his own firing order if he were to miss on a QB again.
