To be fair we don't know what kind of QB Goff will be. Most people thought he would need to take some time to develop, he could turn out to be the best of that group or a complete bust but only time will tell.
In this upcoming draft there's a variety of QB prospects, whoever is in charge will have to do their best to evaluate them and then hopefully have a bit of luck because I do think luck plays a part in it too.
I agree luck is a big part, to me the eagles got very lucky with Wentz bc I honestly thought he wasn't going to be as good tho its only been 6 games he has impressed me..

I think SF should still look at anbest player available model, such as what they've been doing in Oakland, because this team needs playmakers. If Fournette or a WR is that good and no QB is seen to have top 5 value then wait until the second round.
After this season, its glaringly obvious that the 49ers should have traded up for Lynch instead of Garnett. There is no good reason why he should be riding the pine right now other than if he really sucks. And if that's the case then he'll be yet another Baalke miss.
Lynch what? He's looked awful and is getting outplayed by a 7th rd pick. He missed on picks but not that one

I'm sorry but I'm not a fan of this draft at all...your crazy if we are rolling into 2017 with the same qb mess.
Kap is gone he can and will most likely opt out, Blaine is crap and a FA. Chip will not start the season with the same qb roster if he wants to keep his job.
Drafting a WR in the first will do zero to help this team...if we are getting a new GM from NE you'd think they'd make a play for Jimmy G...if we bring in a outside GM I highly doubt he would keep the same HC.

There's a reason Kap leveraged that new contract where he can opt out. He's not coming back. He's playing to get a good deal somewhere else.

You started well with bringing in Caserio as GM and you even had me at the trade down...and then I saw you didn't even draft a single QB in this draft and you lost me.
The idea that we wouldn't address the most important position at all is laughable.
