Crazy. I thought Colts were some fools for passing on Smith when they needed a LB badly. They ended up with the best guard in the league and an all pro rookie LB in Leonard. And they're killin it.

If you have the right pieces in place and nail just one draft, it can change the entire franchise. See the saints with their perfect 2017 draft or Colts in 2018.

They have the GM a lot of us wanted in Chris Ballard

That's right . Also he saved the season after the mcdaniels crap by signing Reich as a hc. Seems like a perfect fit, especially considering the circumstance. Dude was a huge factor in eagles winning a super bowl led by Nick Foles.

Fate smiled on them getting Reich - I bet Eagles wished they still had him.

Welp to whoever werr againsf taking a guard that high

That's why at #2 overall you take the elite prospect even if it is a DL again

Just as much as Vikings still wished they had Shurmur and Falcons wish they had Kyle . Great coordinators get really really undervalued it seems like.
Should be AFC OROY. I know he won't get it but he should.
He was my draft crush, never made it to us but I thought he was the best player in the draft.

Still happy with our pick though, think both are going to be perennial pro bowlers

It's going to be Mayfield and he earned it breaking the rookie TD record while nearly leading a winless team last year to the playoffs despite not starting the first few games of the season.

And Quenton Nelson became the best guard in football.

1st year, best in the NFL, in the trenches. Never been done before to my knowledge. Same argument I have for MVP to Donald. Did something we've never seen before.

Mayfield played great for a rookie. Nelson was flat out the best guard in the NFL as a rookie. He played better than even the most optimistic of us around here expected.

Absolute beast. He helped completely transform that OL from one of the worst last year to one of the best.
When Nelson's career is over, he's going to have the GOAT OL highlight video. He takes a player's manhood every Sunday.

Rightfully so, this guy dominated for years, big Q has a long way to go yet.

If his career follows it's current trajectory we'll for sure be talking about that, but it's similar to watching OBJ as a rookie and saying he's better than Jerry.
