Round 2 we need a ILB bad we may need to trade up to get McMillan or we wait and hope for Foster!
Round 3 if we don't get Kizer in round 1 we grab Kelly or Barrett in round 3.
Round 4-7 we have multiple picks in these rounds we need some talent at WR like James Quick, Dede Westbrook or Stringfellpw.
Kizer is not a top 10 pick maybe not even top 20 right now...assuming he leaves early which he may not because his play right now is just killing his draft stock.

Lol, because of one game against Stanford which is one of the best defenses in the country? People said the same thing about Goff after he played Utah and look what happened. He's still ranked the #3 overall prospect on CBS and top QB and their rankings were updated yesterday.

If he keeps struggling, then he may fall out of the top 10 or 20, but right now he's still a top 5 pick.

54.1, 59.5, 65.7, 34.6, 53.8.

These are his completion percentages over his last 5 starts. It's pretty bad considering some scouts have him ranked so high and he's playing unranked college teams.

Really like how Eddie Jackson S looks returning punts this year.

The other spots I'm hoping they go hard after in free agency. Time to spend all that money

you still take the fore thing in garrett. why pass up on the best overall talent in a while for a maybe qb
O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama, Sr, 6-6, 242, 4.57

"Howard is the best tight end in the country even if he plays an inconsistent role in the Alabama offense. Just as he did when featured during last season's national title game against Clemson, Howard was virtually unstoppable against Texas A&M, registering a career-high eight receptions for 69 yards and touchdown. His freakish combination of size, speed and strength make Howard a mismatch nightmare in the passing game and he's made major strides this season as a blocker."

I really don't think we will get a shot at him, maybe at the top of the 2nd if he slides. He has been up and down but looks like a seam stretching TE like Vernon Davis

its hard to imagine a scenario where he doesnt go in 1st round

and he isnt VD talent so he wont go top 10
Cole Hikutini TE Louisville

This guy always looks good in that offense, maybe a Delanie Walker type TE

ESPN's Mel Kiper says Louisville senior TE Cole Hikutini "could be a steal in the third or fourth round."
Hikutini is relatively unknown at the moment, even on the showtime Cardinals, because of his eclectic past. He arrived in Louisville via Sacramento State and City College of San Francisco. Hikutini caught six passes for 118 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's win over NC State, looking like a natural as a receiver. "Hikutini is athletic, can run after the catch and creates separation late in routes," Kiper wrote. He could be a key cog in an NFL passing offense." The 6-foot-5, 248-pounder boasts a 27(16 were first downs)-393-4 line on the season. Oct. 28 - 6:43 pm et
my position this draft and offseason wont be popular among many fans

i dont want to draft any qb this class

i want to build from ground up and get a bunch of players

we need more players/talent at OLB (edge rusher), WR TE CB maybe more depth at ILB

id rather fill those needs this offseason and draft qb in 2018 - i mean lets face it there is no luck talent and this team is not a qb away

Terrible logic for not drafting a QB. By that same logic this team isn't a WR away, CB away, OLB away.....anything away, so why bother drafting at all? No single position will make this team a winner.

If you are sold on a QB, you draft them then and there. There's no guarantee that any QB in 2018 will be better than what is available in 2017. Just like last year a lot of people complained that no QB was worth drafting yet Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott have been high quality starters from Day 1. There is no reason that there shouldn't be a few good starters that emerge from out of the 2017 draft class eventually as well.

I don't see this team passing on a QB again in the hopes that they land a high enough pick in 2018 to take one of the top QB prospects who may or may not be better than what they could have gotten a year earlier. The fanbase isn't going to want to put up with a year of Christian Ponder or some other crap quarterback with no young prospect waiting in this wings. That just isn't happening.

In the NFL, you either have a quarterback, or you're looking for one, if you don't have one, odds are that you aren't winning a single thing so you prioritize it above all else.

the difference is infastrucutre both in eagles and dallas they have thjat both have great OL solid receiving options

we dont have that here (OL is good) but wr is not there

i also dont think its smart to have a young qb who may mnot be ready forced in there and have to try to compete in a shootout which can damage his development

i get the logic of going qb and while i do get it its just not the way i would go if i were GM- we just cannot get qb wrong this time and with sa severe lack of talent in our skill position on both offense and D i just dont think its a good idea to draft one

You take a QB when you can get one, you don't keep holding out hope that you'll find that perfect prospect that never exists. No reason why this team can't significantly upgrade on offense through free agency and the draft while taking a QB.

You don't have to throw a rookie QB out there to start immediately either. You can go with the bridge guy but for the future of this team, the offense, its future playoff chances as well as to boost fan morale, you want to have someone in the fold that you can credibly point to as "the future", someone that will take over in the near future and lead this team going forwards.

im not talking about getting a perfect prospect if there is a qb like luck/cam or someone like that i would say take him

the fact is there is no qb like that and again im not opposed to drafting a qb i like kizer and watkins both are good passers but need to work on some mechanics which causes some inconsistancy in accuracy

if the plan is to draft a qb i want to sit him for a year i just dont want to rush a qb into this 49ers team because they will fail
Too bad Lamar Jackson of Louisville isn't eligible. He's going to be a star in the NFL. Watch his footwork in the pocket, he's light on his feet like Joe. He's got that bounce to his step and can play form the pocket.

Meh, another run first QB who struggles with his touch and accuracy. If he tries to run it that often in the NFL he's going to get absolutely pummeled, especially considering his size.
