Mitch Trubisky = Brandon Weeden
Please do not draft this guy. Trade down, build the foundation through the draft and free agency. Wait until next year to draft a QB. The odds are we will have a top five pick again next year. (and no, I am not a hater. I am just being realistic about the quality and depth of players we have)

This guy is the real deal. Even ask his cousin Goober.

Mitch Trubisky Fit: San Francisco 49ers
Kyle Shanahan, the 49ers' new head coach, was with the Redskins when they selected Robert Griffin III in the first round and Kirk Cousins in the fourth round (2012). Trubisky has skills in common with each of those players, as he possesses good athleticism and accuracy as a passer -- actually, his accuracy is even better than Cousins' was when he entered the league out of Michigan State. Inexperience might be an issue for Trubisky (he was a starter for only one season in college), but Shanahan should have at least three years to get the young QB on track. Coaches on the hot seat might not have the luxury to work through Trubisky's growing pains.
Regardless of how anyone feels about him, he's a very good fit for a WCO. Mobility, fast release, accuracy, willingness to hang in the pocket and throw to multiple receivers, throwing on the run....etc. No way of telling how Shanahan and Lynch will feel about him ultimately but he'll definitely get a look and an opportunity to impress.
I have a feeling 49ers take a pass at QB at 2 or trade down. Myles Garrett goes to Browns. I think Trubisky goes to Bears at 3, or Watson to Buffalo at 10, or Browns at 12.
I have a feeling Kyle will fall in love with Trubisky once he goes through his film. Then, he sits down with John and decide we won't waste a ton of picks trading for a QB like Garoppolo. Reason being Garoppolo is a QB ready to win now and the team is not ready to win yet or not ready to win in a big way at this juncture. Thus, they decide not to waste a single draft pick after the 2 pick spent on Trubisky. The focus will be placed on the offensive side of the ball in rebuilding all the weapons such as WR and RB.

If the Bears acquire Garoppolo and the Browns take Garrett, I think a trade down becomes far less likely. Jets might be willing to stand pat and take one of Trubisky, Watson or Kizer at that point.
Everybody wants to trade down but can't explain exactly who would be trading up and why.

Unfortunately true. Sucks that the 49ers get a top pick in the draft and there's no QB worth the 2 spot and might not be able to find a trade partner to move down. Compared to just one year ago where the Browns got a 1st, 3rd, 5th in 2016 and a 1st in 2017 and a 2nd in 2018.

The problem is if you draft Trubisky, he's not going start. You sit him at let him learn. Then next year comes and the QB draft class is loaded. So what do you do.
Draft another prospect you think is better? Then what you wasted a first round pick?
I'm not seeing Trubisky at 2.

There's still the Bills and with qb you can't have the attitude I'll just take whoever falls. No big deal. Manning, Leaf it's all good. If either the Jets or Bills fall in love with Mitch a trade can be had.

I'd be okay with SF drafting Trubs at # 2, though I'd be happier to see Garoppolo as a 49er.
Also good with Peterman on day 2.
