Mitch "Mr Biscuit" Trubisky-QB-North Carolina

Yes it is. Mitch's arm is being praised by everyone who's seen him play. He has a great arm and a quick release. He can launch it on the run, too.

Most reports I've seen say he has enough arm. Not an elite arm like Stafford and they also say he has some deep ball accuracy problems.

As a 1 year starter in a Shotgun only offense I do think Mitch has every bit the learning curve that Alex had.

True. Even if they draft him at 2, they need to sit him for at least all of his rookie year. Maybe some of the next year, too.

Those reports are wrong. Mitch has an extremely strong arm. It might not be one of the 2 or 3 strongest in the league, but it'll be top 10.

This is just Mitch Trubisky's 14th college start. Only 3 QBs with 15 or less drafted since'06: Cardale Jones, Osweiler, Cam Newton. #SunBowl

Hey jcs, go to YouTube, there are a billion clips that show how athletic Trubisky is.

Athletic enough but he's not elite or above average for that matter. You want to make him Andrew Luck when in reality he's not even the athlete Jake Locker was.

One thing I will say about his scrambling that is a concern...he Rarely slides.

He reminds me more of a younger Tony Romo. Not an elite athlete, but good enough to scramble well. And he seems to do a good job keeping his eyes down field when he's scrambling.

BTW, I actually think Trubiski and Romo would be a good pairing for us.

His arm strength is behind Cardale Jones' from last year's draft and Kizer and Mahomes' arms this year.

Arm strength isn't a weakness for Trubisky, but you guys are kidding yourselves if you think he has a top 10 NFL arm.

Stafford, Flacco, and Cutler probably have the biggest arms in the league.

Then there are guys like Newton, Kaepernick, Roethlisberger, Winston, Carr, Osweiler, Luck, Rodgers (and that's not to mention backup QBs like Cardale Jones who have bigger arms than some of the guys I listed).

Trubisky's arm strength is closer to Matt Ryan or Kirk Cousins - he has plenty of arm talent to excel in the NFL and he has a slightly better arm than both Wentz and Goff in my opinion, but he's not going to have one of the top 10 arms in the NFL.

Mahomes and Kizer have top 10 arms. I've seen Kizer throw the ball almost 70 yards without much effort and Mahomes has made some ridiculous throws as well.

That is lame.

Everybody's arm strength is behind Cardale Jones. Dude, you do know what his nickname is right? He isn't called fxxking "12 Gauge" for no reason!!

But, where is Cardale Jones now? Arm strength isn't everything.

One bad game and criticism that has nothing to do with his play on the field. You totally won me over.

lol right...don't forget he lead them down the field (10 plays 100 yards) on the final drive to score a TD. Not his fault his backup OL blew his assignment leaving the best DL on the field unblocked during the 2-pt conversion. OR is it his fault honestly his really only horrible play that whole game was the pick 6, horrible read totally stared down his WR.
Can't wait to see what this kid does during the Combine and Pro Days. Have to know what he's got to make the Niners decision easier at #2. Also very intrigued by Mahomes.
2017 NFL MOCK DRAFT: MATT MILLER'S POST-SUPER BOWL PREDICTIONS
The Pick: QB Mitch Trubisky, North Carolina

2. San Francisco 49ers

This is not what I would do as general manager of the San Francisco 49ers, but this is the move I believe the team will make as the draft unfolds.

Mitch Trubisky is a fine quarterback. He's strong-armed, a good athlete and is the best of the bunch among the 2017 class of signal-callers. But in terms of pure value, he's a mid-first-round talent. Reaching here for a quarterback is desperate, and I'm never a fan of picking based on need this early in the draft.

Linebacker Reuben Foster or running back Leonard Fournette are better values here, but for a team with zero quarterbacks signed through 2017, Trubisky would offer new head coach Kyle Shanahan a young passer to work with and give ownership the kind of hope they need to sell to fans.

The 49ers can still address this position in free agency or through a trade between now and the draft. If those options are open—whether it's Kirk Cousins or Jimmy Garoppolo—that's a better move than pulling the trigger too early on a quarterback with great potential but plenty of question marks.

The further we go along, the more attractive a small trade back looks.
Mitch seems like the best fit for shannys offense. But we might have to draft him at 2 if he has a strong pre-draft.

Let's hope he gets caught smoking weed or something lol.
