I'd actually be a little disappointed if this happened. IMO if Davis gets anywhere near #34 we should trade up for him. It would show me that Lynch had done his homework, would be prepared to take a calculated risk to get a difference maker, and understands the benefit of getting the 5th year option.

Hey I'm cool If we end up with Davis as our 2nd pick regardless

That'd be too god to be true - we can still hope
I would love him at #34, but i dont think he falls that far.

If we trade back into the mid first round i hope this guy is the pick.
Man I see more and more mocks dropping him....please let these teams overdraft QBs to sit and let us moving on up to get this boy!

Sirius NFL network just did a live two rd mock that had us getting Solomon at two and Davis at 34.

He's likely to drop because he won't work out before the draft but that doesn't change what he's put on tape.

No I agree he's my favorite WR there's just so many good defensive peospects and the fact that the past couple drafts have been loaded with WR talent (which we decided not to touch) and teams have a lot of young promising WRs in place.

He did play vs weak comp, has the injury issue, not a burner, and has some drop issues.

I could see him drop to late 1st/early 2nd

Dream world unless he is gonna have chronic injury problems.

Honestly I don't know...his biggest issue was speed which he wasn't able to show off. He also played against weak comp and his hands aren't amazing.

I'll add there are sooooo many great defensive prospects and the past couple drafts have been chalk full of great WRs prospects which teams (not us) already have on their roster.

the top teams imo that I thought would have interest (Titans and eagles) could go in another direction (DB/TE different WR for Tenn) and eagles upgraded their WRs in FA....teams looking to upgrade qbs for the future might drop him as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's the 3rd wr off the board.
" Western Michigan WR Corey Davis fell out of the first round in Peter Schrager's latest mock draft.

It is noteworthy, as two other receivers went in the first round (Mike Williams and John Ross) with the second at pick No. 32. Davis went off the board at No. 34 to the 49ers, and we think that would be a steal. Davis is our top ranked receiver in the draft, but he is working back from a minor procedure on his ankle and might not be able to workout for teams in the NFL. Davis is dominant after the catch."
