Charles Harris DE MizzU

There are questions about Harris' lower body strength, but I'm just amazed at the consistency with which Charles Harris seems to get pressure on the QB and the consistency with which he gets penetration on the OL. I know there were some questions about his lower body strength, and this is a TE trying to block him (a big one), but look at him run through the block like it's not there & swallow up the RB:

Like this guy significantly more than Lawson, Tim Williams and Derek Barnett. And all of those guys look like really good prospects (although Lawson has the injury concern).

Looks like a mid-late first round prospect (probably later than we'll be picking in the first round). He was unstoppable against Arkansas State (it is Arkansas State though) and looks like he has a high motor and good spin move. He's not the same type of athlete as guys like Myles Garrett or Vic Beasley and I'm not sure I saw him as "very fast" looking at his highlights.

Lawson looks a little bigger and just as athletic, but doesn't have that spin move and has injury concerns. Garrett absolutely blows either of them away in terms of physical tools.

Lawson's listed at 6'2 257, and Harris is listed at 6'3 255.

For what it's worth.

Wow this guy is good. Officially my first draft crush of the season. He's fast and he's long as heck. He's still a little rough around the edges but he could easily be a 12+ sack guy in the league.

My guy Harris defecated all over the Bull-Dog OL. He was getting pressures, drawing double teams and ended up with 3 sacks. Another interesting thing about him is that he rushes standing up a lot, which indicates he might be a great fit in a 3-4.

Beats his guy around the corner:

LT underestimates his quickness, and he even runs through a 2nd blocker for this one:

Here's an article where some Mizzu fans analyzed Harris' games from last year & showed that in what they call his "unproductive" games, he was double-teamed 24.1% more often, and his teammates generated far more pressure on the QB.

Grand theft pass-rusher.
I really like Charles Harris he's a monster great moves and great motor. I'd love to get him in a trade down for sure. I'd like to hear more of what you guys think of him. If he's there at the bottom of round one he'd be a steal
Need to sit down and watch his tape, but from the couple Mizzou football games i've seen, his first-step jumps off the screen. He's explosive as hell off the line and his closing speed is excellent.

A couple of die-hard Mizzou fans that i've talked to say he is hit or miss, tho. He'll be kicking ass and then completely disappear for large portions of the game.
Still the most underrated player in the draft IMO. Dude's on par w/ Joey Bosa in terms of pass-rush ability IMO. Maybe a tiny bit behind Bosa, but close.

And he's a complete player.
So what's his deal?

Good edge rusher in a class full of them, his floor in the draft is the Cowboys and will likely go like 10 or so picks sooner
