In my last mock I have us trading Kap to the Broncos for their last pick in the 3rd round. We will wait until draft day to make the move once we know who were are picking at 7.

I don't see any FA moves the rest of the season that really change our approach to the draft. (FYI no way we draft 13 players...I see baalke making moves all over the place and I hope we are aggressive with wanting to get who we want).

1st- Jared Goff QB Cal; Future face of the franchise I love his pocket presence, accuracy and foot work...I'd love to give Chip someone that can be a little more mobile but I think Goff has everything you want in a franchise QB. Sits a year behind Blaine. HUGE piece in rebuilding.

2nd- Vernon Butler DT Louisiania Tech I guess you can say he's my draft crush lol....I've had him in all of my mocks and I will be praying that we get him He can play all over the line and brings a nasty ( I hope he's our RDE). This might be a move up scenario to get him, I have a feeling he's high on Baalke's draft board. (other player that could happen here are Chris Jones and Jason Garentt)

3rd- Leonte Carroo-WR Rutgers- He is underrated IMO. He doesn't drop balls plain and simple. He's not stupid tall but has the size you like (6-0 211) I think I read somewhere that Chip was a big fan of him as well. He reminds me of Golden Tate get's YAC and can block.

3rd-(Kap trade) -Jordan Jenkins OLB Georgia- He's got the size (6-3 260 34 1/4 arms, 11+ hands) that Baalke and Chip droll over. He shows plenty of explosion off the snap...I think he's a safe pick and can be coached into a fine starter.

4th-Connor McGovern OG Mizzo- Dude is strong! He can play all over the line and he excels in ZBS. He fights for the one open spot at RG with Tiller/Thomas/Martin.

4th-Tyler Ervin RB SJS- This is the sweet spot for RBs IMO. Usually teams wait on RBs and once one is drafted they all go pretty quick. I'm on the bandwagon for this kid and I think there's a pretty solid chance he becomes a 49er. He's our COP back basically our Sproles, dude is electric and would be a DC nightmare under Chip.

5th- Blake Martinez ILB Stanford- I think he can be a 3 down ILB and showed off his ability at the combine/pro-day. I have no idea who would start next to Bow and that might have to be something we jump at next year...Rome wasn't built in a day ya know

5th- Will Redmond CB Miss St- would have been drafted much higher but has a torn ACL, he didn't workout at his pro-day and will drop because of that...when healthy he is a quality player and has the size 6-0 190 you want in a outside CB.

5th- Willlie Beavers OT Western Michigan- I'm assuming Davis comes back and we do have a young Brown, but we do need some depth and I think Beavers fits the mold that chip is looking for.

6th- Mitch Matthews WR BYU- Dude is 6-6 210 and ran a 4.4 at his pro-day I'll take that size and speed in the 6th thank you

6th-DJ Reader DT Clemson- We need to come away with two DL players in this deep draft...losing Williams for some time Reader comes in a battles Dial for the starting spot at NT.

6th- Tyvis Powell FS Ohio State- No way I could not draft someone from Ohio State lol, He has the size and length you like and should at lest fight for a ST spot.

6th-Beniquez Brown LB Miss St- Reports are we met with him and he had a great pro-day moved around real well and gained some lbs after the combine.

So there it is!!! The way my past mocks have gone and how Baalke drafts, I doubt anyone on this mock gets drafted by him lol...what's everyone's thoughts??

We are a month away can't wait!!

Nice picks, very well could end up this way. So many ways the top ten can go, I still see Baalke goin DL at #7, Buckner if still on the board or Lawson. Then Baalke takes Jason Garnett in the 2nd. Like the Carroo pick in the 3rd as well as the Ervin, Martinez, Reader and Brown picks. Feel Baalke will take Hogan in the top of the 5th RD.

Yeah if they can't trade Kap then I'm down with Buckner or Jack. I just don't really see the point in drafting hogan if we keep blaine and Kap...if we can't grab the two top qbs or dak I'm fine on passing on QB all together.

Thanks for the comments should be a wild draft!

This, unfortunately. Not many promising options. I like Driskel's skillset, but the dude seems soft. Who the hell picks there transfer school based on watching the HC hug a player?

MD swears that 2017 is a monster QB class. I'd like to hear a more in depth explanation of that assertion, because I just don't see it.

Yeah not a fan of any of the other QBs outside of Wentz/Goff/Dak and I don't mind Doughty as a late backup pickup.

I saw MD write that and it had me love to see a breakdown as well.
Yea I don't think they are trading Kaep either. And they will have to trade up in the the late teens to get Butler. No way he gets pass Steelers, Seattle, and Arizona. And none of us might not like it but I smell Connor Cook in the 2nd round. Good mock. And even if they keep Kaep if they think Goff is a legit franchise guy then you draft him. Maybe Kaep balls out then you can trade him next year while Goff got a year to watch and learn. This scenario can play out in so many different ways.

Seems like 2017 is the year of the rb to me, but I've seen sites already hyping up Kaaya from MIA. And of course everybody is gonna droll over Watson. I think Chad Kelly and Baker Mayfield are being highly regarded as well. I can also see Dobbs from Tenn getting some hype due to being a dual threat. Gotta see how they progress this year. But there is gonna be some monster rb prospects. Fournette, Chubb, Cook, and Mcaffery
Why do a final mock a month before the draft?

Trent's going to sign 5 FA no other team wants for 1/2 year cheap deals.

I think there's a good chance Goff and Wentz will both be gone by 7th pick and Trent ain't trading up.

I think Vernon Butler will be gone late 1st.

Buckner will prob be sitting there at 7 and Trent will trade out of the 1st round.

I think that's more likely to happen than your picks / trades.

I see him getting moved if we are sitting at 7 and Goff or Wentz are there....There's just been too much that has happened between Kap and the FO and the lack of support from the locker room. We are rebuilding and a new coach means new QB. I'm all for it!

I like Butler a lot, but I think the hype train is a little overblown on him...he's from a small program and I think his pad level is a little high. I rank Rankins,Billings,Reed,Robinson,Nke all over him.

I think Pitt needs help in the secondary, Seattle is shot at OL that should be their #1 priority, and Zona might have a better choice at DL with the names I mentioned ( I wouldn't be surprised if they look for the QB of their future as well remember they don't have another pick until the late 3rd)

Draft day is gonna be wild for us! This is a huge off season for this teams future for sure.

Like I said none of the FAs left out their will have any real impact on SF's draft board IMO. Right now I have the top seven picks going like this (and no I don't factor in trade ups)

1.Tunsil
2.Wentz
3.Ramsey
4.Bosa
5.Jack
6.Stanely or Buckner
7.Goff

Butler could very well go the bottom of the 1st, but we've seen Baalke move up for a player he likes, and I think Vernon is a player he likes (size, length, able to play all over the line) also I have 5 DT ranked higher than him currently.

Not sure why you think Baalke will trade out of the 1st round anyway? Has he ever don't that since being the GM?

I think some things will go down in the next 2 weeks that will change the look of the draft.

I think a few teams could be fighting over Wentz and Goff. It wouldn't shock me if a team like the Jets moves up to take one of them.

Buckner is a solid pick. Prob as close to an impact player Trent will get at that spot. Because it would be a stupid not to draft him and I could see Trent being stupid.

I got no issue with Buckner would love him in SF. Baalke loves him some DL and making the middle of the field better. you might not like some of the moves he does but I don't see him moving out of the 1st round lol.

Not really sure what would go down in the next 2 weeks that would change the draft board much if at all outside of a wild trade for someone like Wilk I don't see any real FAs out their that would be major upgrades.
Similar to mine so I approve Only change I would make is to drop Beavers. I think he will bust. He doesn't show consistency, fast hands or good diagnosis skills.

thanks man! Yeah in the 5th it's just that a 5th round pick I think he has some great qualities for a ZBS and would fight Thomas and Pears for backup roles.

HAH!!..

What can I say.. If the draft goes this way, or 80% of it, I really wouldn't complain at all.. So I'm givng this pick of yours a solid B.

the only few I really believe that should happen is that, WE should take care of the OL first with the TWO 3rd rounders. But that's just me believing that WRs are easier to find in the later picks.. There should still be some DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH type of OL that our team will surely need.

witht he 1st round, I'm just so glad I didn't see BUCKNER'S name.. Butler, I love in the last 1st and early second so I'm just happy to see his name there.

if we somehow dont' land Butler, then the kid from UCLA would be my choice..

for the LB, uhmmmmm, i just have a man-crush on (Morrison) late this draft.. I doubt that we can land Cravens, so I'm really hoping that Morrison will be the guy to be next to Bowman..

Blake is intruiging to me, is a great college LB but to limited forthe Pros or what? this one, I would rather take Oklahoma's Striker.

so there you have, good draft you had, and the above are the only ones I would rather have IF available..

LOL I'll take a B from you

We differ on Buckner but that's for a different thread, Goff just lands here based on who I have drafted before us (unless there's a trade up). Yeah I also based it around Davis coming back but OL would move up the board if he doesn't. Someone like Murphy or Haeg in the 3rd-4th could be looked at. I think Carroo could still be had with one of our 4ths, I just love his game and I think he'd be a good fit for us. (Tough, makes contested catches up the middle, can block, get's YAC etc)

I also threw Morrison in there but went with Brown due to the fact he met with SF and he seems to have more coverage ability. Plus Morrison's off field stuff and injuries worry me a little.
