He's been a player that I've been intrigued by. He's having himself a pretty good Combine and showing that he could be a fit as an OLB in a 3-4. He's a bigger guy, going about 6'3" and 270 pounds, very strong and physical, plays with a high motor and is a beast against the run game. Needs to develop his technique as a pass rusher but he did have 12.5 sacks for Clemson this season. Flashes the quickness to create penetration and disruption in the backfield. Also shows very good core strength setting the edge vs the run. Appears to have long arms and uses it to his advantage at the point of attack to stack and shed blockers. Heavy hands that has some shock in them. Shows quick eyes to find and react to the ball. Adequate lateral agility and range working down the sideline. Long arms and strong hands to latch on finish as a tackler.Versatility-2-Ideal fit is as a LDE in a base 43 scheme. Also has reduced inside on pass rushing situations. Has experience lining up in a two-point stance but was not asked to drop into coverage often. Will have some limitations in space if asked to convert to a 3-4 OLB.Instincts/Motor-1-oiled motor. Chases in pursuit and finishes through the whistle. Made a handful of effort plays on tape. Willing to mix it up. Shows the toughness to play through pain. Played in the National Championship game after spraining knee 10 days prior. High energy player whose passion shows up on tape.

Everything I've heard or read about him depicts a pretty mature young guy, a hard worker that leads by example.

TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline sources tell him that Clemson edge rusher Shaq Lawson "is a warrior; not only on game day, but on the practice field, and his motor is always on."

Those sources rave about Lawson's intangibles and work ethic. "He's someone teammates are drawn to, and the feeling is Lawson will be a major asset on game day, on the practice field and in the locker room," Pauline wrote. Lawson is athletic, productive, relentless and comes equipped with the necessary attitude to continue working. He's a mid-first rounder.

Not really. Lawson had the tougher matchups, playing well against elite tackles such as Ronnie Stanley. Dodd vanished at times going against lesser blockers.

Nobody was talking about Dodd until the National Championship Game when Dodd had 3 sacks against a so-so right tackle while an injured Lawson was matched up against a future Top 5 draft pick.

Lawsob was injured cuz he was steroid if he was still hidden? U never know. He looked a bigger his body then he is real steroid. I am sure about it. Lawson will be top 5 draft picks? Who care about grade! I have talented my own eyes and fins the best talent player for special than grade. I dont care about grade!

No. I never been steroids. If 49ers will draft to Lawson then he will be bust. What do u do? U are good talent to draft the player talent? I am curious..
