He's been a player that I've been intrigued by. He's having himself a pretty good Combine and showing that he could be a fit as an OLB in a 3-4. He's a bigger guy, going about 6'3" and 270 pounds, very strong and physical, plays with a high motor and is a beast against the run game. Needs to develop his technique as a pass rusher but he did have 12.5 sacks for Clemson this season. Appears to have long arms and uses it to his advantage at the point of attack to stack and shed blockers. Heavy hands that has some shock in them. Shows quick eyes to find and react to the ball. Adequate lateral agility and range working down the sideline. Long arms and strong hands to latch on finish as a tackler.Versatility-2-Ideal fit is as a LDE in a base 43 scheme. Also has reduced inside on pass rushing situations. Has experience lining up in a two-point stance but was not asked to drop into coverage often. Will have some limitations in space if asked to convert to a 3-4 OLB.Instincts/Motor-1-oiled motor. Chases in pursuit and finishes through the whistle. Made a handful of effort plays on tape. Willing to mix it up. Shows the toughness to play through pain. Played in the National Championship game after spraining knee 10 days prior. High energy player whose passion shows up on tape.

I dont see all 4 of those guys going in the top 6 picks. That basically would mean that Bosa has a huge drop and I just cant see Dallas passing on him after letting Hardy walk.

I am beginning to think if They view both Wentz and Goff as franchise guys, and they aren't able to move up to get one or either of them, then Lawson is their guy.

Not sure about at 7, but I think they'll target him

It's actually pretty likely all of them are gone in the top 6 picks. Cleveland is going to take one of the QB's and several "insiders" seem to think there are enough trade partners ahead of SF to make a deal to a team that wants a QB. IF both Wentz and Goff are graded out by several teams as franchise QB's, they'll both be gone. Buckner is already rising up the board and likely gone. Jack is the best player int he draft and likely gone

. I think, Cowboys love to draft for OL or RB? Maybe. I think. And Cowboys will grab 3round or 4round by Brandon Kaufusi.

I don't agree. I think Bosa still goes in the top 5 despite the hype that some others are getting right now. Tunsil is clearly the top tackle in the draft and Ramsey very well might be the best player in the draft. Jacksonville might be looking for an edge rusher. Stanley could still end up going early to San Diego.

Every year that I've followed the draft, there's always guys who go higher and lower than expected in the Top 10 picks. It rarely plays out as people image. I wouldn't be at all shocked if one of the top 2 QB's falls out of the top 10 altogether. Weirder stuff has happened.

People will also call it a reach or that we could have had him in a trade down. Reality is, a lot of teams picking after us can stand to upgrade or have a big need for an edge rusher so that talk is all just hot air.

Aldon Smith and JJ Watt were both found somewhere in the teens in 2011 on most experts final big boards.

If they take Lawson at 7 it tells me they think he can be a double digit sack guy annually. I have no qualms with it but envision a ton of hate on the GM.

Actually like the Fred Dean comparison. Wouldn't be upset with Baalke taking him at #7, would prefer he tries to trade down 2-3 spots to draft him though.

Always a risk he could be gone in 2-3 spots...Tampa needs pass rush help.
