I think they go after zeek at 8

I think they wanted to move up in hopes somebody falls to them (Bosa, Buckner, Jack). Think they really want one of the top talents from this class. Their fallback option could be Zeke but would not surprise me if it is VH3.

Yeah I think philly is on point when this said there are truly about 10 prospects that are top tier coming out of this draft.

Not sure I view VH3 as one of them, but I'm a little bias when it comes to drafting CB that early (not a fan of it at all).
i know everyone here (including me) has a hard on for Goff, but Wentz is really intriguing to me.

Early I was a Goff guy, and not that I would be unhappy with Goff because I think he is going to be good, but I think Wentz would allow Kelly to run his offense the way he'd really like to run his offense. If we are going to try to marry the QB to Kelly then Wentz. If we are looking for the safer pick who's a bit more polished then Goff.

I really like Wentz's demeanor. Now there's only so much you can gain from watching interviews and short clips from Mariucci's draft thing with the QB's, but Wentz seems so sure of himself. Not cocky, just sure. Doesn't seem uncomfortable at all in front of the camera. I think Wentz athleticism would allow Kelly to really get his offense humming in 17. He's not faced the best competition and faces a much steeper learning curve. Higher bust potential than Goff, but that potential is low with both these guys imo.

Goff on the other hand seems a little bit cocky, and that's not a bad thing and really it's only a sliver, but it's there. He's really accurate and takes pride in and works hard to maintain his accuracy. Not as athletic and not as big an arm as Wentz, but every bit the leader Wentz seems to be and is admittedly the safer pick of the two having played well against stiffer competition. I think Goff is going to be a good QB unless grossly mishandled.

I think both these guys can be stud QB's in the NFL and I would be happy with either

From what I've seen from both QB's Goff's arm is stronger than Wentz's, and not just marginally. Actually, I would say that Goff, Lynch, and even Vernon Adams all have stronger arms than Wentz. Additionally, his deep ball / jump ball placement to me seems sub-par to those other guys as well. In the NFL, you have to be able to make throws to receivers that are covered downfield in one-on-one situations and I don't think that Wentz can do that at an NFL level.

What I did like about Wentz was his short-to-mid passing accuracy. He seems to be decisive with his throws across the middle and is willing to throw through tight windows. This may turn out to work against him when he gets to the NFL and defenders are quicker to the ball. He's a great RB-as-a-QB type of player that is adept at reading his blocks and is an explosive runner. He is NOT an improvisational runner. I didn't really see anything from him where he was extending the play in the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield. That's something that Vernon Adams does pretty well, and you even see more of it from Goff than you do from Wentz.

Honestly I'm not that excited about this guy, I would rather let someone snag him early. They'd be doing us a favor.

Believe Hue & the Browns will take Goff at #2 with Wentz falling to #7. Baalke will then either have to choose between Wentz and possibly Buckner, who is more likely to be there at #7 than Jack (see him going to Jags at #5).

If this happens I think another team would trade up for Wentz.

We may have a shot at Goff but I think we have no shot at Wentz, who many believe is the better QB of the two.
His pro day is tomorrow hope he lights it up!!

I think they would like to add Hargreaves or hope for a guy like Bosa to fall.

Agree, believe Philly is targeting Hargreaves at #8.

Don't sleep on Elliott at 8.
Wentz is such a much better fit in Chip's system than Goff. The 49ers would be lucky he he fell to them.
If they even decide they need a QB
