I want Goff or Connor Cook.

Or both if Cook drops far enough.

No interest in Cook unless it's mid rounds. He's not an NFL starter to me.

Not convinced on Goff, yet. At least not at the 7th pick of the draft. Hate for use to like Cleveland, always drafting QB and missing.

Cook like garbage in the bowl game.

What are you not convinced about with Goff?

IMO his weakensses are the easiest to overcome.

1. Weight - NFL training/lifting will make that a non issue
2. Tends to force things at times/gets sloppy in the pocket - just a guy trying to do too much with weak talent around him
3. Didn't run a pro style offense - he's a smart kid, no reason to think he cannot pick up a pro style offense with proper coaching

When I compare QBs from past drafts, he is not getting the buzz as say a Manning, Luck, Cam. Even Winston and Mariota were more impressive to me. I guess I don't judge on a curb. Not saying he can't succeed, just that he doesn't impress like those in the past that have succeeded or recent comparisons. Same many times people and even teams reach cause they are desperate for a QB. I look at past failures. that were successful in college and compare. Guys like Leaf and Akili Smith, Jarmarcus Russell etc, who had higher buzz surrounding them than Goff has and wonder.

That is why I am not convinced he is worth a #7. I'd take a chance on him at 15 or above. I remember how people were talking about guys like Cook then he got exposed. QB is a big guess and not an exact science so you won't know till later.
Connor Cook looks a lot like Chad Pennington.

I'm all for a face of the franchise guy. Long term, I don't think Kaepernick can be Kelly's guy. He's never been known to have touch, make quick decisions and be accurate with short throws. A stable in a Chip Kelly offense.

Would tend to agree with you. In two years, it's doubtful either Kap or Blaine are our starting QBs.
The wentz hype train is starting to catch steam! They are loving him at the senior bowl week

He's like a white Cam Newton, except not as good.

So Blaine Gabbert?

He might be our pick. Has about as good a chance as anyone at this point.
My gut tells me that we trade Colin and draft Wentz. We'll see how this goes.
Still don't think we draft QB in the 1st. I want defense but won't complain if we end up with Goff or Wentz

That would be amazing!!
Hard to tell what we're gonna do until we find out whether Kap stays or goes. Wouldn't be mad at all if we traded/released Kap and drafted either Wentz or Goff.
