Obviously I'd have to hope for the best. But I still wouldnt support the pick. One of the arguments people make is "You wouldnt take Adrian Peterson at 2??". Naw I wouldnt when the draft is loaded with defensive talent. If I could go back to the 2007 draft, Id pick Patrick Willis over Adrian Peterson easily.

Fournette is not Adrian Peterson. He's Leonard Fournette. Don't be fooled by someone using Peterson as a comp.

The man could be bad ass in Kyle's offense. At his pro day Mayock said he looked great running routes and catching the ball.

I think he's the pick if they stay at #2.

Fournette doesn't fit the type of back Shanahan has success with. I have no doubt he could do some great things with him but Joe Mixon would be a better fit and can be had later.

And are you insinuating that Fournette is better than Peterson?

I'm sure hes getting better, seems so far behind Cook and Mccaffrey though. Look at how smooth they are running those routes and how soft their hands are catching those throws. Then look at how awkward LF is when receiving. He hold his hands out and sandwiches the ball like an uncle trying to catch the pigskin at the family party. Anticipates the hell out of those throws. They left out the worst of it in this video too.



But yea Im sure hed be a beast in our offense, as would Cook and McCaffrey.

In a draft so deep at defensive positions it makes sense to grab marquee offensive players early.
