^ thats for you NY
I think you need to practice what you preach my man
"To rebuild a football team you draft the BPA period" that's what you said....so if a OG or C is BPA at two that's honestly who you'd draft?? If that's true I really can't take anything you say seriously on here. You're clearly blinded by a flashy name or want the sexy pick regardless if it actually makes us that much better.
MJD was on NFL radio yesterday and laughed an the notion of SF or the Jags taking a RB that high...no OL no RB period. Our "star" would get stuff at the line all day an would be a f**king waste, 28th ranked overall OL last yr. Hyde was 6th in the league in DYAR and we had the 32nd ranked run-blocking OL. Hyde was far from the problem last yr just needs another COP back to take a couple touches from him.
The RB position is too dependent of other things like scheme, QB, OL etc...go look at the Rams if you need proof, put Gurley behind that Dallas line and he's doing what Zeke is doing.
Yes please let's draft a RB that has stiff hips, can't catch, doesn't have burst, and is taylor made for a gap blocking power scheme. You can't just pop in players anywhere just because you like that player....Demarco Murray is another perfect example. He's a gap blocking power runner and sucked a big ol' dick in chip's ZBS in philly. I think LF is a good RB, but IMO he's not a ideal fit for this scheme. He'd better be f**king flawless and a a perfect match for Kyle's offense if you're drafting a RB at 2...which he isn't.
There's probably about 6 different RBs that are a better fit for Kyle's system that wouldn't require us to burn a top 2 pick...are they gonna be the sexy pick or have the star power of Fournette probably not. Will Shanny be able to turn yet another mid-level RB into a 1,000 yard rusher like his father and him have been doing for 20+ yrs? I would say it's highly likely.
IF LF is the pick I'll support it an IF he runs for 1,500+ yards and takes us to the SB I'll be more than happy and eat a big pile of crow....gladly.
BUT if we stick with Hyde he has a career yr and the mid-level RB we draft shows that he can be a very good RB, I'll be expecting the same from you
