Yep, I just saw that. I don't know what to make of it. Are we supposed to believe that 100%?

I believe it about as much as people saying they will be taking a QB lol...I just to don't them doing it but that's just my opionion on it

Jones is probably just getting the word out that the pick is up for grabs to anyone willing to give up draft picks for it....

I hope it's true. I'd hate for Jerry to take our guy.

Right he wants a team like the LA Rams to burn those 2 2nd rounders and more to jump ahead of us for Goff. IF Goff is there at 7 it was meant to be if not well then a better prospect dropped to us. I'm cool with either.

Do you guys think if Goff is there at 7 there's no way we can pass him up?

IMO depends if Kap is still on the team...I hope they do draft him though

Yep, that's another of my concern which I also mentioned, the Rams trading up to preempt the 9ers to take a QB. That is one option for them and a lot of people believe they need make a big move to kick-off their move to LA. That is why I keep saying trading up to 3rd is the way to go.

so to prevent that let's trade Kap to the Rams

If the Cowboys actually take a QB, then it just pushes a pass rusher down to us... Buckner or Bosa

There's going to be a solid player there at 7 regardless.

hahahaha sure bud
I'm trying to rate Goff in terms of overall value. So...if Buckner, Bosa and Ballard are all on the board at #7 along with Goff, how do you rate them? I say:

1. Buckner

2. Bosa

3. Goff

4. Ballard

I just think don't Goff measures up to the value of the guys ahead of him. EDIT: don't think

Absolutely. I don't want to get too technical here in terms of exact values and so forth. But, I will cite an example on what Daniel Jeremiah said. As you know he is a former NFL scout, so he knows what he is talking about. He was talking about the Cowboys, what he said was he has Wentz and Goff at around 6th and 7th in his big board and he said if you need a QB at 4th overall you simply grab the guy. In other words, what he was trying to say was it wouldn't be reach to grab a guy 2-3 spots higher if you have a need for that position.

giving up high value quality picks that can change your franchise for Goff of Wentz is not worth it

The problem is that sometimes for some teams value= need

Thats why some times teams overdraft(and underdraft) some players, disregarding the absolute quality of the player

I disagree. I think a legit franchise QB has a far higher chance in changing your franchise than any other player. There is a reason why QBs are paid the most.

I will give you a example, pick any tour de force defensive player in the history you want, say a Lawrence Taylor. As great as Lawrence Taylor was, I think most folks would value Joe Montana somewhat higher. Why? Cos Joe was a QB.

That depends on how far off on the big board it is. What Daniel Jeremiah tried to convey was drafting a player because of need 2-3 spots higher than the big board is not considered as a reach. And I take it he knows what he is talking about since he used to be a NFL scout.
