Daragon's 2015 Mock Draft (January)

It'll be interesting to see what kind of bulk he can add to his frame. He'll also need to grow as a blocker too. So I get the questions, but the TE position is really weak in this draft.

You wanna talk?

As you tried to change most of the layout by now here are a few more specific questions.

Free Agency

1. Why did you decide to Tender Jerod-Eddie, Wilhoite and Nelson? Also why not try to sign Wilhoite and Nelson to long term deals?

2. You want to sign Odrick? As you did excessive Film Study please list tapes that sold you on him.

3. How come that the Restructure, Tender and Re-Sign Section is sorted exactly like I do (QB - LS) and the Cut Section where you filled in a few new names is all over the place (CB,CB, S, LB, WR, TE)?

2015 Draft Section

1. Why 2 comp picks? To be more specific why a 5th and a 7th round pick in the 2015 Draft?

2. Geneo Grissom in the 6th? Why? He is currently slated to go in the 3th - 4th round. Please list tapes that made you say he is a 6th round prospect.

Depth Chart

1. Why Boone-Thomas-Looney. With Thomas coming from IR why not Boone-Looney-Thomas for example?

2. Whats your thought process behind the rest of the Depth Chart?

- FB -> why list Millard at FB and not at TE

- WR -> Why list Ellington over Patton

- DE -> why Odrick - Jerod Eddie - Carrradine - Dial

- OLB -> why Smith-Lynch-Skuta-Lemonier-Grissom

- CB -> why Culliver-Brock-Johnson-Cook-Acker

Just stop it already. You copy-pasted my whole mock, filled in a few of your favorite picks and now get all defensive. Even the Title is similar.

LOL...I even looked online to see if you'd copied your picks from one of the sites I follow. Then I read DeUh's comment and realized where I'd seen it.

Yes. This is just ridiculous.

There is a fine line between mimicry and plagiarism.
One if a form of flattery, the other isn't.

I had a similar feeling lol, I remember getting dejavu while reading this mock

I did use the layout, but I spent a couple of hours doing all the work myself on my picks in every category. I just grabbed the layout to make sure I covered every category. I apologize that I didn't attribute the layout to you. I have edited it to include your layout credit at the end.

But as far as the choices, I put my work into every one. We do agree on many things, but the similarities on those choices were not plagiarized. Things like the comp picks and free agents came from many discussions I had on twitter with the Matt's. Both Odrick and Green have been heavily discussed in the forums as great options as well, which lead me to research both.

As far as Grissom, I used Walter Football's ranking and draft projections to help me get a broad idea of where players could fall. I basically listed team needs and went through positions and players that could be there in each round.

Ellington is over Patton because Ellington is over Patton.

My thought process behind the depth chart is basically hinging on the who my projected starters are. It's really too complicated, and would differ from many others projected depth charts.

In the future, I'll cover the same topics, and I'll just make my own layout.
Love your draft...however it's wishful thinking we could acquire Josh Gordon for nothing...and cutting Ahmed Brooks we can trade him too. Overall all great for site

I really don't know the problem with Kaep but there is one for sure. I'm not in the coach's film room but its obvious that they scaled back at times and I'm only guessing that its Kaeps lack of understanding or ability to take in all the progressions that's the problem. Maybe I'm base, but at the start of this season, they stacked this O with playmakers and we didn't get better??

You're right you're not in there so save your sarcastic posts. They may have a talented receiver set but nobody to threaten deep which is exactly what was said. And they were talented on paper but piss poor OL blocking doesn't exactly give much time to scan the field or let the slow guys get down the field.

Surely Bruce Ellington and Quinton Patton could've provided more of a deep threat than Anquan Boldin, Michael Crabtree, Stevie Johnson, and Brandon Lloyd. But they weren't even used. There are things that are receivers are good at, but they weren't used in that manner. It's like having Frank Gore bounce runs outside on every play or having Alex Smith chuck balls deep like he's Darryl Lamonica.

Now I am with you on the piss poor O-line blocking. That is the one thing that doomed this offense more than anything else. But the poor use of our personnel is right behind that.
No way Duke Johnson is lasting to the 3rd round.
