or will he be another one of the Baalke's WR Posse??

AJ Jenkins - Patton - Ellington - Dorsett??

Really, I only see Patton w/a bright future in the NFL... We shoulda just had Patton playing instead of Lloyd last season.. .watta waste of season for this young guy.. by the time he blooms for us, he'll already be a free agent and we may just end up letting him go..

sigh...

I thought Ellington looked great when he actually played WR.

While I agree that Patton should have had Lloyd's snaps, I also agree that Ellington looked good when he was used. He seemed to almost always be open.

I think we are gonna see Patton and Ellington get a chance to shine this year. They will get their looks and based off what we have seen previously I think they shall impress.
I like this kid good mid 2nd/3rd round prospect if we don't go WR early

Patton seems ok but not that much seperation so far and I lived the ot fumble against sd.

Agree out of the short guys I like this kid the best cause of the combo of speed, hands and blocks against the run

i think dorsett is our man. We need that speed to compliment our current WRs

He's actually gotten open pretty often. There were a few times late in the season where Patton was wide open downfield and Kaepernick either forced a pass into Boldin or ended up throwing it out of bounds. He's not super fast but he runs his routes well enough that he gets open that way. Just hoping that he and Ellington get more snaps and especially more targets.

Dorsett, Lockett, Coates, Smith, take your pick, even a guy like Strong who can be a major weapon the red zone would give this offense an added dimension.
Dorsett's got the speed and hands...only thing that bothers me is his size...185's pretty light for the NFL. I know Baalke would like to add more speed to the WR corps, but another need's picking someone who can replace Boldin, who could well be in his last year.

Agreed. I'd like to see the "All 22" footage of Patton in every games where he saw significant snaps. He was on the field for several huge plays last season as a blocker -- most notably Gore's monster 50+ yard TD run and Kaepernick's 90+ yard TD run against San Diego.

yea but given where we can get dorsett and his similarities to hilton and B. cook, i think he is a smart choice. We need a Hilton clone

Patton & Ellington need to get more reps this season, both can contribute significantly if used properly.
He reminds me of TY Hilton. Except he won't have Andrew Luck throwing to him very likely. Which makes Hilton look good in a lot of ways too.
I really like Dorsett. I pick him in al,oat every mock draft I've done. I usually grab him in the 3rd, but I doubt he lasts that long. Where does he project to get drafted at this point.
