I don't think there is any way we end up getting Clowney. I think the Texans will trade the pick and another team that runs a 4-3 will draft him with #1, but the lowest I can see him dropping is 3. He's a better fit in other defenses, so I don't see us winning a bid war for a top 3 pick while he's on the board.

For all the people saying we need "speed" or a "shifty" WR, that's a falacy, IMO. We need someone who can make a team pay down the field and that's exactly what Evans is. You have to keep your safeties in two man with a guy like Evans on the field, which will open things up for the run game and Vernon. With that being said, I don't want us to move up. Would rather grab a guy like Beckham or Cooks.

On top of all this I still think we move up and draft a guy like pass rusher in the first, corner or wide put in the second (move up if need be), corner or wide out in third. rest of draft trade down or BPA.

Good insight. I didn't think it would happen, but if they we're "blind", ya never know ...

I just don't think it's worth giving up more than half the farm for any one player (not even Clowney or Watkins). And, I don't think Rams would pass up on Watkins if Texans go with Clowney. But who really knows what players those two teams are really aiming for.

I wouldn't mind trading a couple of picks to get Gilbert or Dennard, but not 1st/2nd/3rd picks type of trades.

JUST Do it! we've picked two great wr picks since Jerry Rice...T.O. and Crabtree go get Evans!

This draft should be all about getting M.Evans. Grabbing a cornerback in the first round is a waste. Who is the last corner taking in the first round that has produced, maybe Stephen Gilmore (how is he doing by the way). The reason we have not won back to back Superbowls is because we cant finish in the redzone. Getting redzone threats is our number one priority. You can hide cornerback play with good safety play which is why we should definantly go WR twice, early. I agree that we need a speed option as well, but not more than we need M.Evans. This truly allows us to throw the jump ball which is what we have been trying to do the past two years. We cant hide the fact that we have serious redzone issues during important moments

I don't think Trent would ever trade that much for Evans.

That said, I think he'll do his usual and do a move NOBODY predicted.

Im not in the Evans bandwagon. I think him and Benjamin are overrated. If we were to trade up, I wouldn't mind a blockbuster trade for Watkins, or for Fuller and Dennard. If Bridgewater is still at pick 30, we could trade that pick for a future 1st.

I think Evans is far superior to Benjamin. Much better hands and movement skills. Still, would not want to give up a lot to trade for him.

I wouldn't mind trading up with the Raiders at 5 if Watkins is still there as long as we don't have to give up the whole farm for him

24plus25er makes a very good point. Making plays down the field and "speed" and "shiftiness" are separate things. Sometimes they go together, and sometimes they don't.

I would like to move up, only because I could see a run on WR's and don't want to be left with a second-tier choice. I have no problem trading up to any spot in the first round. If our scouting department fall in love with a certain WR, why not go get him? I don't care how many guys we get this draft, as long as two or three guys we target become excellent NFL starters, and a couple become solid role players.

If he is there at #15ish move up and grab him.

Patrick Peterson, for sure.

I'd rather just sit and take Verrett at #30 then nab Moncrief at #56.
