Instead they have the flexibility to stay true to their evaluations and grab the best talent available with an eye toward the future. With Anquan Boldin now in his mid-thirties it might be wise to add another playmaker to the passing attack, which ranked near the bottom of the league statistically. At one point it appeared as though USC WR Marqise Lee would be an early first rounder but concerns about his size and durability will likely push him down the board a bit. An explosive athlete with excellent speed, Lee is not only a big play waiting to happen but also a relatively well-rounded and polished wideout who has drawn favorable comparisons to Marvin Harrison. Lee would be an ideal compliment to Michael Crabtree and Boldin and give the 49ers offense a vertical dimension that they are currently lacking. San Francisco could also use some reinforcements along the defensive line at both the five-technique and nose tackle and it wouldn't hurt to add another pass rusher at outside linebacker either.

It would be a waste of a pick, they'd keep him on the bench or inactive in favor of lining up guys like Celek and Miller out wide.

That dude is overrated, Hawaii's young secondary made him look average when they played. And honestly I don't think Lee is a 1st round pick either, there are so many receivers I'd pick before him, don't make me name them.

I like this guy. He probably is the best route runner coming out and possibly 4.4 speed. He plays tough and plays faster than people think. Roman will use someone who can run routes well. AJ was never able to master that and thus he stayed on the sideline. If he is drafted, I truly believe he will not only play, but make an immediate impact.

This. Highly impressed with Dennard, do think he has potential to be a lockdown cornerback at the NFL level, which would be extremely valuable considering all the other talent on this defense. If they have a shot at Dennard, I say do it.

How could CB NOT be the pick in the 1st after watching today's game. Sure the 9ers won by a stretch but Brock and Brown looked really inconsistent out there. And Rogers with his high salary and age, no way is he gonna stick around next year. The 9ers MUST absolutely pick a CB in the 1st!!!
