Kelce is may have some issues but he is the better all around player, although is not as polished as Ertz as pass catcher. Ertz is strictly a pass catching TE, he can't hold the point of attck, will be good if move and use him to merely seal off, but if drive blocking can be shed and tossed.

This is, IMO, the question. Is the difference between Tank Carradine and the next pass rusher more than between Ertz and the next TE?

Trick question! The talent difference between Ertz and Kelce is negative. Kelce is more talented!
Tank or Jamar Taylor would make a lot of sense.
We didn't draft Coby last year and let Konrad walk. Don't thing Ertz is the pick, just a hunch cause his blocking skill is lacking.

LOL all rumors from a Gil brandt tweet. Guy doesnt know s**t. It wouldnt suprise me if we took ertz, but the guy is "hearing" nothing from the niners. Baalkie dont leak s**t.

Hmm ill pass on Ertz then. Blocking TEs is important in our scheme. Thanks

Kelce ran 4.61. Ertz 4.78. Kelce is also 6 pounds heavier and arms are 2" longer. Much nastier blocker too. Former wildcat QB.
If they go after DL in the second there will still be some very good TEs in the third. I do like the idea of having someone who could block well enough to free up VD. His curse is that he blocks so well that it limits his opportunities for catches. If Ertz is not good enough to do this it might be better to pass.
Todd mccshay says carridine was his best dlineman and someone is about to get a steal....
I won't be surprised if we end today with more than three picks. With 11 picks at least 4 will be used to move up this year and for picks next year. I would be shocked to end the draft with more than 7 players picked.

That's what happens when you don't have a Luck/RGKnee and you overhype Geno/Teo.

I completely agree, it'll be interesting to see how everything pans out and how the ratings stack up against last year's Friday.
Ratings are slipping because its losing focus. All this nonsense like style reporters commenting on the red carpet, the Boston histrionics, etc. I'm watching for the football, not any of this other stuff.
