NFL Draft Order Analysis
As of this week the draft order is...
1. Carolina (would not draft a QB, have Jimmy Clausen)
2. Cincinnati (would definitely draft a QB, have you seen Carson Palmer lately)
3. Detroit (probably wouldn't draft a QB, only two years removed from picking Stafford)
4. Buffalo (would definitely draft QB)
5. Arizona (would definitely draft QB)
6. SAN FRANCISCO
so either we need to... make the playoffs this year
OR
tank for top draft position
we have two remaining games vs. Arizona. Do we really want Andrew Luck in Arizona and Sam Bradford a Ram? We could be getting screwed for a long time if this is the case.
Remember, the three teams we need to "pass" in order to get Luck: Arizona, Buffalo, and Cincinnati.
Cincinatti is not ready to give up on Palmer, Cincy had no D-line, period -- that's a huge need.
Fitzpatrick is playing very well with little to no talent around him in Buffalo.
I agree with you on Arizona. They're going to take a QB for sure.
You sold me on Buffalo they may not take QB after all Fitzpatrick is having a good year. I can't rule out that they won't take QB but it certainly isn't a sure thing that they will. But I remain convinced that Carson Palmer won't be in Cincinnati next year.
