You guys are kidding me right?? This guy has already crushed USC and Oregon last year, throwing for four TD's and NO picks in both of those games. And USC was a tougher team then than it is now. So far hes thrown for 11 TD's with only 2 picks, I just don't see what you guys AREN'T seeing, hes got everything, poise in the pocket, mobility, arm-strength, accuracy (well he could probably work on it just a little more), MOXY--------SWAGGGGG, and yes I do see a game changer, better than what we've got right now atleast.

luck is the best qb out right now and i think hes a great prospect but THIS YEAR he hasnt faced that strong opponents

i mean snead had a great year 2 years ago expected to go in 1st round and everything how did that turn out for him?

Hands down, Luck is faaaaaar better than Snead was/is. What killed Snead is his decision making and was waaay overrated to begin with.

I don't understand how they can compare performance between Luck and Mallet. Both are good QB's, but level of competition Mallet's got the advantage. Yes he did throw 2 picks, but it was against ALABAMA! He brought a small town mid level team to compete against BAMA.

Snead was definitely overrated. He also had a really good o-line anchored by Michael Oher his first two years. He lost a lot of talent last season.

Aside from the Alabama game, I think his decision making is pretty decent, he had a solid Soph season throwing for 30 TD's with only 7 picks. IMO, what's in question is his down field accuracy, but I bet its all coachable. And better yet if he has a good Combine, he could very well be the first overall pick, Jake Locker is being exposed and IMO his stocking is dropping.

a small town mid level team?? WTF you smoking? This is SEC vs. SEC. A conference game. Razorbacks were ranked preseaon top 25. These are two great schools. Arkansas State is a mid major not Arkansas. Also he did not throw 2 picks... he threw 3 picks. Yes facts and reality can be a b*tch sometimes...

The Int. he had on the End zone against Bama was a timing route for the WR who didn't make it to his spot. It's difficult to asses who's at fault on some plays due to the amount of passing and route running they do in Petrinos offense. I like Mallet, but If we get him or Luck, I would be happy.

i am watching andrew luck beat oregon right now, and i for one have been and will be an alex supporter until the bitter end...but this guy looks special, hes just as mobile as alex, hes playing in a pro style offense, and a stanford guy has got to be smart.......he looks like the first overall pick

now obviously im hoping we dont end up with that pick naturally, but it may be worth a trade up, if say carolina or tampa gets that pick, since they have what they think are their respective qbs of the future in clausen and freeman...

just thinking aloud, if this doesnt belong in niner talk, i apologize, i figured it was toeing the line

whoever is the QB next year, i just hope the team doesnt screw him up again. That said, who ever comes in will be in a VASTLY better situation than Smith was when he got here and will most likely have success.
