Don't need Buckner. We literally have 3 or 4 young tackles that need experience and the snaps to get the experience. Trading for Buckner would be like signing Javon Hargrave a couple years ago. meh
Always need more in the rotation

Yeah outside of Halton and Osa I'm not that impressed by anyone else, not only rotation but great depth. If you can get him for a 3rd I say pull the trigger we can probably get a 4th round comp out of him

They don't throw open top bus parades for "experience". They do for championships.

Now, whether Buckner is a good fit or not for the team is a discussion worth having. But "taking snaps away from the youngsters" is an irrelevance for a team that is not rebuilding.

Buckner would be amazing. Another great leader, war-daddy, and an old friend

If I can only have 1 move I'd get Garrett Wilson, Wilson and Evans would make our offense very explosive and can keep up with any team, ideally I want Wilson and Mack

We have Evans, Stribling, Deebo, and Robinson has played sensational. Then you have Kittle and McCaffery, outside of a few games I just don't see the need to spend a top pick on WR.

We currently have Evans who is also kinda hurt

You willing to spend a 1st and pay an extension over a 3 week depletion? If we go big it should be for an edge not WR

Yes

Yes

If we had a gauntlet maybe, but we have 3 very winnable games with a bye

We couldn't score on the Commanders. We could lose to anyone.

I mean I'd definitely look at WR I'm just not in the camp to spend a 1st. I highly doubt Garrett Wilson is on the market. Jets already blew it up their 3 1st round picks are playing well and they have another 3 1st round picks that'll likely all be in the top 15 this year

People. We dodged a bullet. Fact is the team is not that good-just lucky. Look at the other teams injuries. Look at Davante Adams/Jalen Hurtz. The sloppy play. When things are going bad it's no time to hope for a break from the refs. They just make things worse. It's too much like life.

The season will continue like this with no team in sync with itself.

I felt the same way until last night. I would be surprised if Evens makes it through the season, unfortunately I think it's just a matter of time before he tears his Achilles. Our first should be at the very bottom of the round, if the right receiver becomes available you have to make a move. I would only use the first on a player who would be in the long term plans not a rental type player.

Who would be a realistic difference maker WR target???
I would support trading for a WR - but the challenge for the 9ers is what WR fits the system?? It's a complex system and just having physical tools without the knowledge leaves WRs unproductive. That is why they signed Cooks, at least he had some familiarity with the system -- same with Pettis (head slap).

Jennings would be a key trade because he knows the system and should come back with something to prove - kinda like Deebo.

So you could say Brian Thomas Jr -- but does he fit? Or are you just trading for traits that won't even make a difference until next year when they learn the system.

A great example of a good trade = Jacksonville getting Jakobi Meyers last year -- his traits fit their system and they had a plan for exactly how to use him and make him productive right away. Who would that be for the 9ers? Just Jennings?

There's not really anyone out there, the top names are Brian Thomas Jr and Jerry Judy but those teams are in playoff contention
