Trade targets

We really need an Edge, not another D-Line. If anything maybe a NT like Vea. Don't trust Bosa to play a full season. And depth at WR. Make those two moves and we are good.
2027 1st
2028 2nd

For Garrett Wilson.

We cannot assume Evans will just be able to play through the whole season and playoffs without tearing that achilles. If he tears it he is done for this year and we would NEED another #1 WR to be able to come in and make a huge impact similar to Evans so we can make a Super Bowl run.

Not wise to rely on Strib / Deebo / Robinson / Cowing / Cooks / Kirk as a WR group if we have ideas of winning a Super Bowl.

And if Evans does not go down, our WRs are:
Evans
Wilson
Strib
Deebo
Robinson
Cowing
Cooks / Cowing

That's a legit group that can be explosive in the passing game and put pressure on the best defenses like SEA and MIN.

PLUS we keep him away from the Chiefs and other contenders that need a top WR badly.

Make the trade Lynch if the Jets take a few more Ls and he becomes available.

49ers 1st round pick will more likely be 32nd. So I doubt this years 1st will make any team bite. No matter if it's Wilson, Olave or TJ Watt.
I think Buckner would be the easiest fit since he know he will plug right in easily.

Would like to see if there is also a WR out there that can handle PR duties.

i dont see any of them being traded. Wilson and Olave are cornerstones and young and already got extended they are part of the rebuilding plan. Both teams also made quite a bit of strides and Jets have 3 top 15 picks so they have to beleive they are close to compeiting I just dont see it

Watt is obviously older but i dont see a trade they are competing for a playoff spot and they have Arod. Trading Watt might as well mean you are giving up on season and at that point you might as well release Arod and start the rookie
I don't know if i'm selling if i'm the Jets. They got three 1st round picks next year and assuming they go for a QB i'd think they'd want a veteran WR to help bring the rookie QB along.

or they could combine one of their 1st round pick and our 1st round pick and go after the #1 Jeremiah Smith a big splash for their fans lol...
George Pickens is more realistic than Wilson

I agree with this. I bet you could pry Pickens away from Dallas for 2nd and 4th round picks or something around that.

I bet the Jets would want a WR including in a king's ransom. Because the Jets have a ton of picks in the upcoming draft and I bet they want to remain somewhat competitive.

You don't want that in the locker room, Evans over here playing with broken ribs and Achilles while Pickens starts purposely dropping passes or decides to half ass a route because he's mad off some dumb s#!t
One podcaster suggested we make a play for Chimere Dike-Titans. Decent returner in his 2nd year who caught 48 passes in '25. He's not doing that well now and I do remember him making a mistake or two against us either last year or this preseason. It seems that with Jordan Elliott gone Robert Saleh could use one of the 2 DT's he drafted just a year ago. They're both injured and not much is expected of them next year if the new guys improve. I'd give them both up for this guy and a lower pick but then Saleh probably's seen enough of them. I'm sure he was the one who was most enamored with Nick Martin our #75 pick. Quantity for potential?

I like it he was a 1st team all pro as a returner his rookie year and had decent production considering he's on the titans. I can see that as well because those guys were likely players Saleh liked but not both + a pick lol.
Keenan Allen could probably be had for a 6th-7th I thought he retired but he's on the colts
