I just laugh at posters offering 2nd and 3rd round or 2nd and 4th round picks for Julio Jones. A 32 year old receiver whose contract the Falcons need to shed and very few teams can take on his contract. The Falcons should give us a pick to take his contract. I'd offer one day 3 pick for Julio and Atlanta eats some of the contract.
Why would the Falcons give him up for less than Denver got for a 32 year old Emmanuel Sanders? Somebody will be willing to give that 2nd day pick for an elite WR, which he still is.
Because he's still owed a ton of money. Sanders was making peanuts compared to Julio. Atlanta has less than $400,000 in cap space and needs 7 to 8 million to sign their draft class.
i think atlanta knows they are in rebuilding mode and they dont have cap space i think we can get below market value for him especially since hes 33 (?)
but if they want key cornerstone players id rather just stick to what we have which is already really good imo
That would only matter of we were the only team in on him. Atlanta situation doesn't matter, the only thing that does is who is willing to give up the most for him. It isn't happening for a 3rd day pick by itself.
