Getting Jones would put us over the top. I can just imagine Trey throwing bombs to him all season long.

Getting Julio doesn't even affect our ability to sign Greenlaw. He is locked up till 2023 and by then the cap is going to explode. Also, julioncould be cut thatbyear if he has declined and you save a ton of cap. But I don't think it matters. His 20 million cap hit that year isn't going to seem as big with a huge increase in overall cap.

Have to make sure he's not in the breaking down phase of his career. We'd want him to restructure to move his money to when jimmy is off books and cap goes back up. I wouldn't want to trade early picks after what we gave up for Lance. We have a surplus of rb's. I could see the trade being Mostert and the 22 3rd comp pick for him. If someone wants to pay more,pass. im waiting for Ertz to get cut.

JJ + Shanny might be the best WR/HC combo in the NFL.
Lets land this dude and go get a Championship.
Let him split time with Aiyuk and Deebo, keep everyone fresh and hopefully healthy.

If we got Ertz and Julio, teams might as well just forfeit when they play us.

Coming back to this thread on June 1st or the day after. Nothing will transpire until then.

We don't have to make a trade based on Julio's value. We just have to outbid everyone else. Colts probably have the edge since they are in the AFC. Patriots and Chargers are the other AFC potential contenders with close to enough cap space to make a deal work. His salary makes things difficult as it limits the teams that can effectively make a move for him. I don't believe anyone will offer more than a 2nd round pick for him, but don't feel we should either, and not even a 2nd round pick due to age, injuries, and salaries. Patriots might be in the best chance due to getting Hightower back and possibly being able to part with a young defender that over performed in their system. Would be willing to give up a 2022 day 3 picks and a 2023 day two. Maybe something with a perfomance based escalator based on games played

I think it'll take our 2nd and next years 3rd to get the deal done. We do have capital in jimmy G, he can build into a 1st round value having a stellar year with Kittle and Julio on the field

Garoppolo is how we would replenish any picks used in a trade by making sure he has a stellar year and stays healthy before handing the Reins over to Lance. If Jimmy has a really good season, he could potentially net a 1st or at least 2 2s. I agree with you
