I know he's on a crazy high contract but if that can be reduced (not sure how) could he be a bridge QB w/ an opportunity to prove more? If he remained healthy in 2017 could've been MVP so the talent is (or was) there somewhere.
Did injuries ruin how he plays or just overall dysfunction in Philadelphia?

The Iggles financially can't move him for like two years. The cap hit would be over $40 million. They are stuck with him.

Injuries+Frank Reich leaving+injuries on that offense which have left him without targets to throw to or blocking.
Starting to feel like some of these Andy Reid guys aren't about s**t. Pederson has struggled without Reich and Nagy has no coherent offensive philosophy, just a bag of gimmicks. I don't hold out much hope for Bieniemy.

He's broken
TLDW: his mechanics suck and he tries to do too much.

The Eagles have slowly been ruining him, putting way too much on his shoulders, it sucks because coming out in the draft the guy was drawing favorable comparisons to Andrew Luck in terms of ceiling but someone that clearly wasn't ready to take over and throw 40 times a game. Even then he played well for his first few years but his mechanics have gotten worse, he's constantly looking for the kill shot and ignoring everything else and he just doesn't look anything like he did as a rookie or back when he was at NDSU.
I actually think he would have been better off had the Rams taken him. McVay would do a far better job of supporting him with a run game and setting up easy plays for him on offense and his physical ability and potential is well beyond that of Goff.

Hell no. Wentz is broken and he's got that contract weighing him down.

I would of said yes if it was last year or the year before. I'd rather have Jimmy now. However, if we cut ties with Jimmy I'd take Wentz even though his contract makes him almost impossible to trade.

Wentz is Alex Smith, Part Two. No real guru around him and few weapons.
I would like to see what he could do with a good coach and some time to rebuild himself. Can't see any scenario that brings him to SF. The CO$T is prohibitive.

The 49ers do not have enough of this imaginary cap space to make this work.
